they would look after their families rather than looking after themselves!
2. Police excuses...again and again
Eli ,   EU   (07.07.08)
As it was on previous terrorist attack in March in Mercaz Harav yeshiva in Jerusalem, Israeli police is completely impotent in fighting of anythig. Cars and homes robbery, road accidents and murder of citizens are not on police agenda. Why Israelis should spend so much money for those useless idiots and finally to defend itself again with their own weapons?

You're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't !!
4. Demolishing houses
zznhl   (07.07.08)
I dont think this guy thought too much about his family when he decided to commit this atrocity. He deprives his children of their father, his wife of her husband (in her culture, she will never marry again), his family of a lively hood(I'm positive that the Hammas will give her a few thou dollars, but how long will that last?) the children will have great difficulty marrying as they will have no dowry. In effect this man has condemed his family to poverty and derrision for the rest of their lives. What does he care if the house is bulldosed or not? Its a petty form of revenge on innosent people who's life is going to be hard enough anyway, apart from an immoral and unethical act according to Judaism.
5. ?? How they know that bulldozer man is a terrorist?
John ,   Europe   (07.07.08)
Terrorist is a person who targets civilians to make maximum possible attack and by inflicting terror in civil population he forces government to act in political agenda he represents. (This is the main reason why IDF is not a terrorist organization: because his primary targets are not civilians, instead - it makes everything possible to reduce civilian casulties; this is also why Hamas is terrorist organization - because their primary target is civilians). Now, from this case, of that bulldozer guy, you DON'T have few very important things that marks terrorist: 1) there is no political agenda, since it is proven that he was not member of ANY terrorist group 2) no political claims was shouted by that guy, no requests, nothing 3) he used bulldozer, but he didn't attack JEWISH NEIGHBOURHOOD: he started to randomly kill on the street. He could have killed Arabs, as well as Jews, IDF as well as Hamas etc. So, I rather think that bulldozer guy was not a terrorist - BUT A LONE LUNATIC. And if that really is a case, then, no, there is no point of destroying his house. Even more - if Israel destroys it, tomorrow eveybody in the world would say: "hey, Israel destroys houses of crazy and deranged people: it punishes their families for their natural condition!" I mean, how would it look that, let's say, a Jew, goes beserk in France, sits in a bulldozer, kills 3 people, and is gunned down by pollice, and after that the government says "He was not a loony, he was a jewish terrorist, destroy his home"? Oh, to refute in advance all "Merkaz harav" paralleles: 1) Merkaz harav is POLITICAL TARGET, since it breads religious political zionists. Hence, the target was civilian, but the message was political. 2) The attack was premedetated, and carefully planed, another very important feature of terrorist attacks. 3) A political terrorist group took responsibility.
6. We have forgotten how to defend ourselves and our country
m ,   Toronto   (07.07.08)
Being under scrutiny for every movement we make, by the world, we have become so fearful of our reflection that we have forgotten how to defend ourselves. When we let everyone dictate to us how we should conduct ourselves to stay alive, we will end up dead. Isn't this the idea why they castigate Israel every time she responds to terror?
7. #5 he was a terrorist
Jayjay ,   Israel   (07.07.08)
Like all good martyrs, he was yelling Allah Akbar as he was killing. It was the Jewish part of Jerusalem that he made his attack in. To try and say he wasnt a terrorist is absurd! Also his mother is clearly seen in a video yelling Shahid, and dont forget a celebration tent they tried to set up. These all point out that what he did was an act of terrorism and pre meditated!
8. #5 Terrorism is a tool used to instill fear to bring people

#5 John my son, YOU have a long and distinguished career ahead of you as a disembling and callow political fool. Act now to get the refinement you require to complete the circle of stupidity and shallow thought processes needed to join this profitable and personal enriching occupation. Meet needy persons and ignor them. make dumb comments to the adoration of thousands. Get expensive apratments and pens cheap, and most of all,....continue pulling the wool over your own blankly staring eyes.

Do suicide bombers check there are no Arabs around before pulling the cord? No they don't. There have been Arabs killed by suicide bombers. So your argument that he can't be a terrorist because he could have killed Arabs does not hold water IMHO.
