will only drive religious Jews away from Judaism..Are these men so weak the sight of a woman or listening to females sing, these men can't control their urges?LOL We're taught individuals are responsible for their own actions, doesn't this appy to the haredim? Another back of the bus mentality....
32. girls' singing boys listening
elliot ,   point roberts,usa   (07.11.08)
sounds normal--i think there is a narcicism of small differences that israel cannot always afford--no-one will be observant enough to satisfy everybody--on the other hand there are limits like women cannot be kohanim for example--lighten-up!
33. Amazing difference

There is a stark change between the this and the Hebrew coverrage. In the latter, and its talkbacks made a clear case for the separation and pointed out that it was the wish of the majority of the youngsters. This generation is better educated, commited to a Judaism that includes torah shebal peh, and Rabbis that call it like it is. They face a different world both greater outside challenges and without some of the baggage of previous folks. The chattering of some parents and some should be disinterested parties points to a different problem. Those datiim that fear the Haredi boegyman are lacking in self definition, and the secular are justly in angst about the inevitable implosion of their slice of population.
34. singing

Miriam sings in rejoice and praise before the fleeing Israelites after the sea rejoined and saved Israelites from pharo's drowned troops. QUESTION: In Exodus Miriam is rebuked for taking joy in the death of Ha Shem's other children [Egyptians] - NOT for Miriam singing before males. ?? So, her singing is not the sin ? Someone please clarify.
35. As I have stated before
Sagi ,   Israel   (07.12.08)
I am a very dedicated Jew and I love my country very much. Every grain of earth in the Land of Israel is sacred to me. I have a very strong distaste for religion in all its manifestations but most of all I have total contempt for those who advocate separation of the sexes. Because of this behaviour I will not enter a synagogue, I will not approach the Western Wall but rather stand afar and when it comes to an encounter with a Rabbi I refuse to shake his hand. In fact I will have nothing to do with those who hold women in contempt. Instead of condoning these demands by the religious community and permitting segregated travel on buses the Government should condemn it and legislate against it.
