2. Hell
michael ,   melbourne australia   (07.16.08)
I dont know what world you are coming into now, but i hope and prey that you will enter hell for eternity. IMO Israel has shown extreme weakness and I hope that this Govt. comes to its senses before it considers giving up the Golan.
3. Peres' Pardon had better not mean Amnesty
(07.16.08)
Israel should take him out as soon as possible.
4. I hope they will be transferred alive when I wake up
Alex ,   Brooklyn, NY   (07.16.08)

5. A shameful day for Israel
Chaya ,   Bat Yam, Israel   (07.16.08)
Keep that image in your minds of Kuntar bashing that four-year-old girl's head on the rocks. And he is totally unrepentent. I just hope that we have a way of tracking Kuntar and we will 'get rid of him' outside. They can call it a 'work accident.'
6. Liberating the kidnapped soldiers.
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (07.16.08)
While negotiating with terrorists certain principles that need to be applied are almost self-evident: Whatever deal is to be struck, it should be done immediately after the kidnapping. Of course the price to be paid for the return of the living is not to be the same as the price for the dead. Last but not least : We should should be fully aware of the Israelis who are being put at risk in the future as a result of giving in to the demands of the terrorists. More at : http://xrl.us/kj6sj
7. Kuntar.......Haolam Habah is waiting

Kuntar is a walking dead man. Run and hide because we will come and get you, you sick bastard.
9. to jeopardize the security of all a country for 2 soldiers..
(07.16.08)
10. The Lesson !!
Ali ,   Gaza   (07.16.08)
Unfortunately, Israel will never release prisoners peacefully and through negotiations, the only way is arrest israeli soldiers to exchange and Israel then take (painfull) decisions !!!
11. Put a bullet in Kuntar's head, right now
Aharon   (07.16.08)
Send him over in a coffin
12. I can understand the familys' grief and their loss.
freedom ,   canada   (07.16.08)
But what happens next if another israeli becomes prisoner. Setting a terrible precedent for any future dealings. There still is no peace, so how have things changed?
13. Hostages
Marilyn ,   USA   (07.16.08)
I'm hoping for the best. I prayed a special prayer.
14. This shamefull display will be PM Olmerts true legacy!
David Hoffman ,   Houston TX   (07.16.08)
15. For two bodies, israel pardoned vile murderers
AK   (07.16.08)
and set them free. Israeli inept government could just let them go, they had to pardon them. No Israeli captive now has a chance of getting home alive, I hope you all know this. I'm just thinking what else can this miserable israeli government screw up next -- it appears that all they touch turns into a disaster. When will israelis take to the streets?
16. Setting our prisoners free-High jewish value
Proud Israeli   (07.16.08)
we care for our sons, we're one big family, it could be anyone's son or father, we dont mess with numbers when it comes to our soldiers. they should all known we will return them home whatever it takes.
17. A bleak day for Israel
Talula ,   Israel   (07.16.08)
Once again our country is bleeding and once again our hopes have turned into despair. The only comfort that can be found in this grief stricken day is that our boys are back home where they belong. Even though I cannot begin to imagine the immeasurable grief the families are going through, they are not alone. With each and every beat of every Israeli’s heart, come thoughts of the families. They have behaved with dignity throughout this nightmare and they stood tall through everything. I just wish them peace of mind and to know that someone they have never met is crying and feeling their pain with them.
18. May their souls rest in peace
Casiopea ,   Spain   (07.16.08)
May their souls rest in peace, and may the Lord be with them, and their families find solace in their grief. Amen
19. Give them the terrorists in coffins (end)
Casiopea ,   Spain   (07.16.08)
20. There are only two ways I could ever accept this
Dude   (07.16.08)
1: We've loaded up this monster with carcinogens, so that he will die an extremely slow and painful death. And this monster will just be a vegetable because of the chemotherapy they'll have to load him up on. 2: They injected him with some kind of radioactive label, which will make easily traceable from space. I hope they enjoy giving him grand tours to all the bunkers and Nasrallahs hiding place... Even if they did that, I still feel like vomiting.... Next time we should just hand over Olmert, now that would be a victory for Israel.
21. Reality contact .....
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (07.16.08)
Now we are revealed as a nation of suckers, dummies, & fools. We should all be very, very ashamed.
22. SUCH PLANNING, SUCH
AVROHOM BILGREI ,   ZION   (07.16.08)
ORCHESTRATION, SUCH PREPARATION, SUCH FORESIGHT ! ONE WOULD THINK ISRAEL'S LEADERSHIP HAD THE CAPACITY OF FORESIGHT ! PERHAPS THEY IN FACT DO, PERHAPS THEIR IDEOLOGY OF "COMPLICATION" AND BLIND "HOPE FOR THE FUTURE", & HINDSIGHT, RATHER THAN WISDOM AND FORESIGHT IS INDEED SEEN FOR WHAT IT IS, A CHARADE ! WERE SUCH INITIATIVES IMPLEMENTED AS THEY WERE AT ENTEBE THESE FAILED DIPLOMATIC CONSTRUCTIONS WOULDN'T HAVE AN ENVIRONMENT TO FLOURISH ! THE DUPLICITY EVIDENT IN THESE PROTOCOLS EXPOSES ISRAEL'S "DEMOCRACY” FOR WHAT IT IS, A SHAM !
23. There's no way I'm able to express my disgust
Nick ,   Sweden   (07.16.08)
over this repulsive and hopeless outcome of this "exchange". Israel releases an remorseless childkiller and 4 other unharmed criminals and gets 2 dead bodies in return. Two boys kidnapped from the soil of their own country and killed. Israel what are you doing? You have supporters all over the world who don't even begin to understand the rationale behind this. It will NOT bring you closer to peace, because your enemy has no pity. Don't take away the last of our hopes. This is a SAD day ...
24. isn't it time for the change?
Proud Lebanese ,   Lebanon   (07.16.08)
israel can no longer use force to get what it wants. it will be faced with the most ferocious resistance. negotiation is the solution to all conflicts. go fo it force generates more force. non-violence is the key
25. Lets break the agreement.
mark ,   Jerusalem   (07.16.08)
The price is to high our boys are no longer with us, I hurt to give away an animal with Jewish blood in his hands, just give 199 bodies back. An eye for and eye.
26. #16 proud israeli, you didn't set them free, they're dead.
AK   (07.16.08)
Yes, you want to get the bodies of your fallen comrades, but it is the people who are alive that matter the most. You have got nothing, except making Israeli Jews into a vulnerable victims who can be killed without any fear of reprisal. Why bother fighting the enemy if you set them free to fight another day?
27. ohlmert
sas ,   israel   (07.16.08)
should have walked across the border with kuntar. who needs such a crook as PM. how he dare look at karnit int he eyes and say he was doing everything possible and he was only interested in his own personnal problems.
28. It is regrettable...
Elianah ,   London, UK   (07.16.08)
...but of course these two soldiers were dead. Everybody knew that, it seems, except for their families. Their families, which forced the Israeli government to agree to this horrible exchange. Two dead bodies in exchange for Kuntar and other terrorists. Now what's going to happen to Shalit? Hamas doesn't need to keep him alive any more. What about the rest of the soldiers of the IDF? This was a shortsighted and stupid move.
29. GIVE US OUR RIGHTS & WE WON'T COME NEAR U...
Christian Lebanese ,   Lebanon   (07.16.08)
