Why are not the people of Israel in the streets to bring down this horrible government? After World War II we were told that Israeli sabras could not understand how Jews walked to the gas chambers without fighting. What would they think of their own children and grandchildren?

Edithann ,   USA   (07.17.08)
To keep up that much 'hate' takes more energy than it's worth.. Why not try to understand what it's really all about.. put yourself in the others shoes..What would you do if someone did to you, what you did to Palestinians and continue to do???.. That's the difference...as you said..you walked to the gas chambers..but the Palestinians and Hezbollah never did, and never will.. So let it go..and find another way..even if it means giving up your destructive Zionist dreams...

11. Hey Edithann and Walid, what about what they did to us?
Daniel ,   Formerly Israel   (07.21.08)
Yes, we drove them from green-line Israel, and yes we have kept them under occupation for forty years and even siezed a little land from them; those are our 'crimes' now here are theirs: they reneged on the Fisal-Weizmen agreement of 1919 that allowed Jewish setelment in all of mandate Palestine (Modern Israel, territories and Jordan); and under the leadership of Nazi sympathizer Haj-amin al-Husseini, grand mufti fo Jerusalem. Carried out pgroms throught the twenties and therties in Hebron, Jerusalem, and just about everywhere else Jews lived. They rejected the Partition plan in 48 and tried to put into action Al-Husseinis command to "kill the Jews; slaughter them all". They immediately reneged on the 1949 armistace and spent the next eight years carrying out raids from Gaza against the South (and also some raids against Jerusalem from the west Bank but Jordan was not nearly as accomodating to them as egypt was). After UNEF was installed in Gaza following the Suez war they moved to Syria, and for nearly ten years carried out terror raids against the Galillee. They formed the Palestine Liberation Organization in 1964, three years before 'the occupation' began, and its intent was to 'liberate' green-line Israel. PLO troops fought side by side with the Egyptians in the Six Day WAr (or as Nasser original called it 'the war of annihilation; and on the eastern front Israel fought mostly Palestinians and almost no Jordanians. In seventy-one the PLO was expelled from Jordan for an attempted coup and so moved to Levbanon and from about 76-83 that was a base from which they planned and carried out terror attacks llike Kuntar's and shelled the galillee with mortars. After their defeat i nthe Second Lebanon war they started the first Intifada, using anything they could get their hands on; guns, fire-bombs, knives, and even rocks to try to kill as many Israelis as they could. And when they got autonamy and economic asistance under the Oslo occords they took those gifts and used them to carry out hundreds of suicide bombings throught the 90s and early 200s untill Israel was forced to put a check-point in some cases literaly in every village, which, while somewhat inhumane has, finally stempt the slaughter, thank God It seems to me that their list of crimes is a bit longer than ours.
