Why not buy those computers as planned. But instead of shipping them, smash them with a hammer. That would be more practical. As Hamas gains even more popularity in Judea and Samaria, so will their policies. Remember the burning of the Internet cafe in Gaza? I am very sure they did it out of their own ideological convictions, not because they had something against the coffee. I do not have to say much about corrupt Fatah, but I would not be surprised if most of the computers mysteriously disappeared. i have liked some of your posts before and think you are a reasonable israeli arab citizen of israel. however, my answer as an israeli to your qustion in post #22 is this.... the palestinians in the west bank will do/use the computers in the same way they use/used billions of eu and un aid, meaning, they used it for terror and to support terror financially. just take a good look at gaza and see. they didn't get computers, but hard hard cash. see any benefit to their economy and infrastructure...and don't start telling us it is the occupation, ok? whether it is cash, technology, ideas to modernize and make life better or computers, somehow, all these never get used for the purpose they were given or created for. sometimes i think that arabs in general are their own worst enemies. they keep making similar mistakes through the ages and expect different results.

Can you imagine. These kids will play computer games (since they have a very small territory in which they can travel). The more basic the computers, the better. Can you say "computer viruses"? Denial of service attacks and the like. Should be interesting. Oh, and by the way, many Palestinians speak English perfectly well. As a matter of fact many speak multiple languages. These are one of the most litterate populations of people in the world. Modern tools will simply provide them with modern tools. They will use those tools to continue their struggle, especially since they have no place else to go. Imagine all the things that are controlled by computers. Sure many will merely express themselves, others will use the computers to organize their activities, but some will certainly hack. (Please note that it is not illegal for a Palestinian in Palestine to use other's copyrights, since they are not afforded legal status, no one else has legal status vis a vis them. They can upload, download and play whatever music or movies they wish without actually violating any laws. These laws require reciprocity and the Palestinians are not citizens of a country and the territories are not sovereign, therefore, the Palestinians have no actual legal rights.) I can't imagine that they won't get into mischief.
