You can't have the death penalty for arrested militants because they are fighting an occupier. They are not common criminals. Of course you could adopt the Nazi practice of shooting ten captured prisoners for every one soldier killed by partizans / militants / terrorists The soldiers captured by Hizbollah were most likely killed in the attack. I read Ynet and readers letrters daily. I visit Israel regularly and am old enough to remeber when the State was founded and old enough to have been in Germany during the time of Hitler and my parents earching for somewher to go to find a safe haven. I am saddened by your letter - no giving up no packing bags so as to appeased a bunch of hooligans. Stand up and fight for your rights. I often think that Israel should tell Hamas if you don't have Shalit standing at the bordewr crossing by morning we are going to flatten one complete road in Gaza and do it. If nothing happens we'll flatten two roads and do it. They will react with speed just like a horse when it doesn't behave you smack it on the nose.

to get an IDf soldier back to israel, i think it is ok to free terrorist. But the IDF and israeli security they have to think cleverer when the catch the terrorist.
