What article did you read? There was not the slightest clue that this was a boycot. Wishful thinking from our left tel avivians. Come to Jerusalem, come back to your roots.
5. Yuri
Joseph ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (07.23.08)
Shouldn't you be boycotting Israel too? I hear that Moscow is nice this time of year.
6. To #4
Elianah ,   Haifa, IL   (07.23.08)
Snoop Dogg was sent a letter by the Palestinian Boycott Committee. It was in the news a while back. He might not have cited it as his reason for not coming, but it wouldn't suprise me if it were. Not that I was planning on going to this thing anyway...
7. Some Gangsta rapper he turned out to be.
Nick Sporek ,   Jerusalem Israel   (07.23.08)
BOK, BOK, BOK, Chicken!
8. No Need to Cry
guy ,   los angeles   (07.23.08)
Are Israelis going to miss something? No!
9. "Logistical difficulties"?
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (07.23.08)
Is that a new word for anti-Semitism or is it a synonym for "Appeasing the Arabs"? I would be a lot more concerned if Snoopy and Woodstock were boycotting Israel!
10. Wake up
David ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (07.23.08)
Snoop Dogg is not coming because he is in fact boycotting Israel. And this is not anti-semitism - there is a difference between being racist and being critical of a government that repeatedly violates international human rights laws, destroying the quality of life of an entire people. Israel's policies have created an apartheid, and boycotting Israel has nothing to do with anti-semitism, only justice and human rights.
11. Who cares? He sucks.
David ,   Hartford USA   (07.23.08)
No talent, no voice, nothing. Israel is better off without him. What's really upsetting is that some Israeli promoter though that his juvenile ranting was worth listening to. Let the Arabs have him.
12. snoop dogg the chiken!!
(07.23.08)
Some gangster. Hes afraid to come to Israel. %$#@ him!!! hes new album sucks any way.
13. RE;#9 - Yeah, logistical difficulties. Honest.
Bartley Kulp ,   Safed, Israel   (07.23.08)
The local contact for supplying him and his entourage with enough weed for the duration of his stay turned out to be unreliable.
14. Maybe he has fans but I know nothing about him ..
redmike ,   Tel Aviv   (07.23.08)
How many people would have bought tickets? I have never heard of Chris Cornell or Siouxsie Sioux either. I like all music but do not consider 'rap' to be music. Can you hum rap? Mike

16. Sami; Many celebrities are boycotting Arab countries.
Palestiniansaremyth ,   USA   (07.24.08)
Did you know that? Hundreds of Western celebrities have been invited to Arab countries or have been called on to support the Fakestinians against Israel. It's not working because hardly any celebrities have gone on record to support the Arabs or visited their crappy countries. Many celebrities have visited Israel and the majority have done it without publicity. And many celebrities financially support Israel. Even celebrities aren't stupid enough to support terrorists!

Susan ,   Kfar Saba   (07.24.08)
I wouln't actually call him an artiist. He's a drug user with a long arrest record. Sweden wouldn't even give him a visa. I wouldn't let my kid go to his concert. I like the singers my son listens to to be good role models and he certainly is not. He is trash and we don't need him in the holy land.
18. Israel tops yet another league ..
Chanalau, Tova ,   London, UK   (07.24.08)
... countries with the highest total of cancelled visits by rock stars.
19. Gee, watch us care
Alexander ,   Ramat Gan, Israel   (07.24.08)
Snoop Dogg isn't exactly The Beatles. No one will shed a single tear over his non-arrival, so he is welcome to do his ego-trippin elsewhere. The interesting thing, though, is the overly defensive denial that the cancellation is due to low ticket sales. I suspect it actually IS the real reason- they've examined the market and found that there wasn't much demand for Snoop Dogg's stuff, hence the change of location from the Ramat Gan stadium to a far less central and prestigious place in Rishon. The Israeli hip hop scene is full of amazing artists, against whom Snoopy compares very poorly. If you are a hip hop fan, stick with Subliminal and the rest of the T.A.C.T. crew.
20. Snoop's Pal-American rapper friend happy
Zorro   (07.24.08)
Fredwreck is a Palestinian-American rapper. I'm not one to put my friends in the midst of world politics. I serve only to educate them on things that they are interested in. And them knowing I am a proud Palestinian, automatically interests them in the cause and struggle of my people. Music is an artform bound by no border, nationality
21. snoop loses contracts
mike honcho ,   ny,usa   (07.25.08)
Snoop will lose his contracts by doing this anti-semitic thing. We control music and entertainment industry will make sure he won't get a gig again. Hell we should get US government put him on terrorist list .
22. #21 "We"
Deb ,   USA   (07.25.08)
Same propagandist who tries to provoke a response using different names. Give it a rest pest.
23. if they have a cause, then by all means...
jerusalem   (07.28.08)
carry on. its a relatively free world. the talk backers are mad because they got embarrassingly dumped.
24. Farakhan supporter? Nation of Islam... no thank you
Lev ,   Afula, Israel   (04.19.09)
He's a Farakhan supporter and claims to be in the nation of Islam. I remember the Palestinians tried to get Paul McCartney to cancel his gig as well, they were all friendly and him asking politely until he said no and they threatened to kill him and cause a terrorist attack... Surprise surprise, eh?
