31. #30: John McCain is a friend of James Baker
Steve ,   US   (07.26.08)
McCain told Ha'aretz he would like to bring back one of the anti-Israel "smart guys" to help him shape policy in the ME. James Baker or Brent Scowcroft. Both are Israel-haters. Especially James Baker III. Baker's law firm is defending Saudi princes against law suites from the 911 victim's families. This is who McCain admires and trusts; James Baker III. McCain has made clear he will pursue Bush's annihilationist policies with respect to Israel. McCain says, unlike Bush, he will micromanage the conflict between Israel and the Arabs. McCain endorses the establishment of a Palestinian terrorist state, just like Bush. This is Republican party policy now and Republican leaders and activists fully support Bush on it and they will support McCain as he seeks to dismantle Israel. I would not be writing all of this about McCain and the Republican if it were not for the fact I am a thirty year plus registered Republican. This policy is evil plain and simple and you support John McCain? Obama may be worse than McCain, yet we have come expect this sort of appeasement from liberal Democrats. Not from Republicans. How can you support this reprehensible policy?
32. Tahl I Have A Better Idea
Yerach ,   Jerusalem Israel   (07.27.08)
Close all Christian holy sites until such a time that the nations move their embassies to our capital. You want free access to your holy sites move your embassies to our capital no ifs, ands or buts. You do not recognize our rights to our capital we do not recognize the rights of your citizens to visit their holy places. We do this you see how quick the church goers will put pressure on their respective governments & embassies will be opening in Jerusalem like wildfire!!!!
33. J'lem pain to get to!
Andrew ,   New York   (07.27.08)
Honestly I think it's better in Tel Aviv...way easier to get to, and once you're done you can go to the beach! hqq
34. in jerusalem?
bri ,   usa   (07.27.08)
if you ask most americans think its already there.
35. Will youmoveUS embassy from Tel Avivto Jerusalem right away?
Keren ,   Israel-SP   (07.27.08)
Or you mean that you and bush will take (try,of course)Jerusalem itself right away for yourselves?(I dont mean divide it;I mean take it) I wonder if obama will indeed be able to be elected...If so,I really don't know which one is worse.I guess we all are in bad sheets, very bad. That's my impression.
36. McCain is right
Brod ,   USA   (07.27.08)
It is time America has a President who knows to differentiate between the world of darkness and Light. It is time to have a President who knows what he is talking about. The fact is Jerusalem is the eternal, indivisible capital-city of Israel since ancient time. Jerusalem is the heart and soul of Israel. It is time to have an American President who recognizes that GOD has restored Modern Israel in Ancient Israel in the 20th century as a Fulfillment of His Covenant to Israel 2500 years ago. Jeremiah 31:1-17, Ezekiel 36:24-38, Ezekiel 37:21-28, Ezekiel 39:27-29, Amos 9:14-15. No mortal should dare tamper with GOD's Restoration of Modern Israel in Ancient Israel.
37. US Embassy in Jerusalem. Yawn
Avi   (07.27.08)
Well, I'll believe that when I see it. Meantime, it's just US election time talk.
38. #12 what makes you believe him???
(07.27.08)
every u.s. pres. candidate has made this promise and LIED. Not one has kept this promise. its all bullshit.
39. McCain is the best man for the job but embassy wont move
zionist forever   (07.27.08)
McCain is the best man for both Israel and the US domstic policies Obama is full of bullshit on all fronts. When it comes to moving the embassy though unless the palestians accept it then he wont move it and this will be a policy that a presidential candidate will promise but a president wont carry out. Clinton promised to move the embassy but made excuses to explain why he wasnt doing anything about it. Bush promised to move the embassy but made excuses to explain why he wasnt doing anything about it. McCain has promised to move the embasy and he will make excuses to explain why he wont do anything about it. Its a fact that no president is ever going to move the embassy to Jerusalem untill Israel reaches an agreement over the cities future. As for Bin Laden beafore McCain starts making plans for his trial it would be advisable to catch him first Its been nearly 7 years since Bush put out a bounty of about $15 million for Bin Laden dead or alive and he is still out there sending messages every now and again let everybody know he is alive and well.
40. They're all lying about moving the embassy, McCain included
Avraham ,   NYC   (07.27.08)
Just a ploy to get more Jewish votes. The State Dep't will influence him to oppose the move; the same goes for the Arab oil lobby.
41. and again to brod #36
Keren ,   Israel-SP   (07.27.08)
Modern Israel has been restored for JEWS,guided ,of course,by the G'od of Israel. You christians, have nothing to do do with it. Shame on you for being an animal looking to take it prey in the first opportunity. We are fed up of thieves! Shame on you!
42. #40 Avarham
Connie ,   Virginia   (07.27.08)
Probably so but as I was reading your comment, this came to mind. If the U.S. and other countries develop alternate fuel, their opinion won't matter. What will they have left to trade with us but sand.
43. #31 Steve, So what...
Connie ,   Virginia   (07.27.08)
Obama is friends with Jeremiah Wright and Louis Farrakhan. McCain was not my first choice now or back in 2000 but these are the two left standing. I'd rather have him than Barack Hussein Obama as president. I'd never vote for a Democrat.
