and hizbullah should pray that israel will delay in changing its mind soon. enjoy your time on this earth, hizzies, cause it's only going to be much hotter where you'll be ending up.

Dave ,   New York   (07.27.08)
It has become clear that hassoun nasrallah is a dirty Israeli agent. It has also become obvious that Israel is the creator of the terrorist hizbullah organization. In their twisted minds, the Israeli leaders believe that it is in Israel's interest to have this iranian army on their northern border. Good for them. Don't come to Washington crying when they wipe out Israel one day because you lacked the courage to crush these terrorists for once and for all.

Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (07.27.08)
Will Lebanon find its way out of the grip of bigotry and terror? Across the Lebanon border, Israelis may have once found a culture not so distant from their own, with mercy, decorum and "rules of engagement" even in times of conflict. The Lebanese will have to retrieve that older world if they are to find their way out of the grip of bigotry and terror. A decent country would be under no moral or political obligation to celebrate a murderer as a heroic son returning from a long captivity. More about the reality of the M-E at : http://xrl.us/kkxrc
6. Delusion Mike, grow up
David ,   Rehovot   (07.27.08)
How long was the IRA around? N. Ireland is much smaller than Lebanon, how'd the Brits do in eliminating them? Israel needed to act sooner and better, but there's not a chance Israel can destroy Hizbullah. Realistic goals are needed.

Interesting ! Maybe Kuwait will let Israeli planes land there when they (hopefully) blast Iran nuclear sites and especially as Bush has got "frozen" feet over the whole business. Anyhow "thank you" Kuwaiti columnist

11. Kuwait seeing the truth
alun ,   london uk   (07.27.08)
Ther was an article in the Guardian quoting Sami Alfaraj the president of the KUWAIT CENTRE FOR STRATEGIC STUDIES saying "if we do not use our oil or money in a peaceful way we have no existence .People in the gulf are smart enough to understand the impact of technology on their development ,and they know the technology exists in Israel .If you look at the taboos of yesterday ,they don't exist."
12. Don't be that nice to Nassrallah
Walid ,   Riyadh, KSA   (07.27.08)
When you capture the turbaned terror master, aka Nassrallah, please don't be that nice rather you should cut off his ears, carve out his tongue, gauge off his eyes, rape him and give him a Saddam Treat. That's how Arabs get to respect their foes, by intimidation and fear. That Kuntar Baby Killer was lucky to be locked up in Israel. You need more proof,? Hundreds of Lebanese went missing after they were captured by the Syrians.
13. this says it all about Lebanon
Yisraeli   (07.27.08)
"When those weapons were aimed towards Israel I was proud, but now I feel that these weapons are aimed at the foundations of the country that has submitted to them," he concluded. All I can say to that statement is enjoy your curse of Israel because by there are you now cursed. Now enjoy the fruits of your curses. The more you seek the destruction of Israel will distruction come visit upon you.
14. #1 Mike is Right
Walid ,   Riyadh, KSA   (07.27.08)
It's hard to believe what happened in the 2nd Lebanon War. If really Israel couldn't wipe Hizbo then you're in deep S... and you're doomed especially when Iran gets the N Bomb (Then, a balance of terror will be in place and Israel will have to live by a set of new rules. Then, Hizbo will not miss a chance to challenge Israel and Israel's retaliation will be limited since Big Bro now has a BOMB which even might pass to Hizbo). Besides, Israel lately did a great favor to Hassoun by giving him well fed / well bred prisoners for a heap of bones, which boosted his standing further. There is no rational explanation to what has been going on
15. #4: Off your meds, Dave?

16. it is better when those Camel jacky shut up
George ,   Canada   (07.27.08)
It is clear that for Golf states which represent the worst Muslim sunnit sect(wahhabist) the muslim shiit are hated more than Jews. For Bin Laden the war with the West is a matter of political divergence and he offered few time a truce for peace ,but with Hizbollah it is an historical hatred. So you never know what the future can comes up with, maybe it is good for Israel the relatively moderate minority shiit than the hard core wahhbist extremist ,especially Shiit are at the Israel border.Israel could have build better relation with this determined minority
17. Walid doesn't get it.
David ,   Rehovot   (08.01.08)
There was never the possibility of wiping out H w/o wiping out all of L, and that's not accepted any longer in warfare -- unless the warfare is jihad. Israel should have done a better job of pushing H from the south, but there were two big problems: 1) Years of IDF ineptitude that let the northern front fall apart 2) A head of the IDF who thought this was Europe and a bombing campaign was all that was needed. "no rational" is the one part Walid gets right. the corpse/prisoner exchange wasn't rational, it was a failing PM's attempt to mollify a vocal minority of idiots in order to get a slight bump in the polls. It's not rational, but, unlike you in Riyadh, we live in a democracy, where those things are more likely to happen. It's a price we pay for the freedom most Saudis and other Arabs don't have.
