1. you have to ask yourself , who benefits for this death?
rachel ,   usa   (07.31.08)
Only the palestinians who will martyr him to the world .....These people will do anything to make the world feel sorry for them ....and of course they will recieve more money for their acting .....Do they .really care about these children?
2. Are we morons?
Ricardo Macher ,   KarneiShomron Israel   (07.31.08)
Really that's what I feel when I read this. So he wasn't rioting (his friend says) What was he doing? Throwing flowers to our troops? Playing Sheshbesh under a tree like the other one? Please! It's not that this should not be published, we should not ask them their opinion. It's 100% irrelevant what they think, we talking facts. They attack us, we hit them, as it is correct and logical
3. youth not involved in riots
israeli ,   israel   (07.31.08)
Of course not. He was knitting socks with his neighbor.
4. He is a "STONE KING "- PERIOD !
YITZAK BEN SHLOMO ,   SINGAPORE   (07.31.08)
THE PALS HAS FORMED A HABIT OF BLAMING THE IDF FOR THEIR OWN STUPIDITY. THEY HAVE BEEN THROWING STONES AT THE IDF FOR MANY YEARS NOW. THE PALS CANT HIDE BEHIND EXCUSES AND BLAMING ATTITUDE ! NO EXCUSE ! I would like to congradulate the Ynet for UNVEILING this whole " Violent Riot" which is firstly caused by the Pals. Hurling Rocks is VIOLANT & CRIME. Shatering passing by vehicles is barbaric and uncivilised. There is NOTHING DEMOCRATIC in behaving Violantly like HOOLIGANS.Pals who have no self- respect and reapect for law and Public Order have no moral equillibrum to CRY ABUSE. The human Rights law and democratic Rights is not the excusive right for the pals only. The IDF Soldiers have the right to defend the State, Life , limb and property of other CIVILIANS. That includes to self- defence in the course of excution of LAWFULL MILITARY DUTY with in the IDF ! It is time to THINK ! The very fact that the IDF use rubber coated bullets it self is evident enough for any resonable mind that THERE IS NO INTENTION TO INJURE THE PALS BUT ONLY TO CONTROL THE VIOLANT PROTEST.It is such a cause an effect there is CASUALITY ! Stone Throwing Children are recruited by the PLAs to be used as HUMAN SHEILD so that there is a STORY to Fabricate Later. They use Public Relations and Advertising Tool to Make Character Assassination o fthe IDF. Well this is TRICKERY that dosent work anymore. We have eyes to see. unless there are fact of actuon an ommisssion that merit a claim of bashing of civilians. This case is one not CIVILAN BASHING but A VIOLANT RIOT ! it is resonable to use RUBBER BULLETs and it is only in Israel such level; of consideration is show to ILLEGAl RIOTERs an RIOT. It is a classic case of PROVOCATION and VIOLANT RIOT !
5. Last night's news bulletin
israeli ,   israel   (07.31.08)
This "incident" was covered by last night's news, I think it was Israeli Channel 1. The previous boy's funeral turned ugly and violent. The streets were littered with rocks and debris (probably hurled by the peaceful mourners). A young man was going to throw stones or provoke the soldiers, when this older man came up to him, grabbed him by the arms and tried to calm him down. I thought he was going to tell me not to riot, or to step away from the soldiers of something like that. What do you think the older man said? "Stop! Stop! the cameras are rolling!" How can a peaceful Palestinian protester maintain his peaceful reputation if he is caught on camera attacking the soldiers?
6. The silence of human rights groups such as
Rachel ,   usa   (07.31.08)
Human Right Watch ,and the media such as BBC, should tell you something about their involvement in the conflict . Why are they not furious that children are being used as martyrs for the Pa conflict?
7. Eyewitness Account
NYC Girl   (07.31.08)
It absolutely strains credulity to think a tank would pull up to somebody's house and a soldier would just shoot at an innocent teen-ager for no damned reason. I think these Palestinian "eyewitnesses" need to start concocting more plausible scenarios. Maybe because it has now become apparent they screwed up with the al-Dura affair, they figured they'd better come up with another martyr to replace Mohammed before the world catches on to them.

Thomas   (07.31.08)
What is wrong with pointing out that Arabs have fabricated these strories before? We didn't forget the "corpse" that fell in a parade and miraculously got up and put himself back in his own coffin.

I find it very revealing that because you obviously can't win the argument on its merits, you resort to ad hominem (See, I can't be that stupid if I know what that word means) attacks against a person you've never even laid eyes on. And, as far as keeping my comments in New York, I can't because I'm married to an Israeli and every time a bunch of your fellow terrorists acts up, there's a possibility that he'll have to go back into the army, you misogynistic little weasel.
19. #16 DID I HIT A RAW NERVE? HAHAHAHAH

Joe ,   Ramat Gan   (08.01.08)
Now this is absolutely rich! Where else in the world besides the Middle East do we get to enjoy comedic analyses of botched propaganda like this?! Note to the wise, if you're going to lie, try to make yourself sound believable next time...

24. eyewitness: funeral comes under fire
observer   (08.01.08)
July 29, 2008: The funeral procession began in Ramallah where hundreds of people, including Ahmed’s family, drove in convoy to bring his body home to Ni’lin where thousands of mourners were waiting. When the convoy reached the Ni’lin, there were dozens of soldiers and border police waiting on either side of the entrance to the village. Instead of showing a single thread of human decency, they surrounded the funeral procession, knowing that their presence would provoke a reaction and ensure that Ahmed would not be allowed to die in peace as he had not been allowed to live in peace. As soon as the first stones were thrown, the soldiers fired tear gas and sound bombs directly into the funeral procession, not stopping as people fell and became trampled in the scramble to escape. June 18, 2008: The men walked past the parked jeeps and gathered at the entrance to the cemetery as well as gathering on the roof of a house across the street from the watchtower. It was at that time that the same commander who oversaw the killing of the boy the night before got out of his jeep. The member of the Christian Peacemakers Team who had been pushed to the ground the night before approached the soldiers with a video camera, reminding the commander that the CPT member was now a witness to the funeral of the boy his unit had killed the night before and demanding that he, a Palestinian-American, and other Palestinians, be treated with the dignity they deserve. The soldiers soon began pushing the crowd back towards the cemetery and threw a sound grenade, effectively disrupting not only the crowd, but the family's moment to mourn the death of a young man.
