1. The destruction of Israel doesn't matter to Europe
Phil ,   US   (08.01.08)
It is obvious that Europe and the left in the US will let Iran possess an atomic bomb. Europe and the American left have only negative feelings towards Israel and wouldn't mind another Holocaust as long as mostly Jews were annihilated. The US is currently involved in 2 wars and most Americans will not tolerate another war--no matter what the danger is. The negotiations are a fraud with each side winking at each other.
2. Iran
millicent ,   Israel   (08.01.08)
If Iran gets to develop the bomb that it is working towards Israel is going to be the first of many countries that will feel its wrath. According to radical Islam, all non muslim nations must be destroyed or forced to become muslim inorder for Mohammad to usher the world into a caliphate for their messiah to return. The EU will not be safe, even now we see radical Islam rearing its ugly head in Europe, the riots in Paris,Britian,Spain etc, we see it rearing its head in the Far east,Phillipeans, even in Russia ! The threat is world wide yet the world refuses to open its eyes! Just remember fools if Israel goes so shall the rest of your countries....you have only to open your eyes to see the writing on the wall!
3. Correction
Concerned Israeli   (08.01.08)
Europe HAS BEEN soft on defense and terrorism since time immemorial.
4. NO HURRY,HEARD IT RIGHT?
MAHMOOD ,   LONDON-UK   (08.01.08)
Remember Jalili having said it in Geneva? Iranian politics works like that making of a Persian carpet.................only few milimeters a day....:). On the sober note, had Condoliza kept her mouth shut AFTER the Geneva meeting,Iran could have demonstrated its positive stance and given the date. Now that the game was spoilt by Condoliza, shall we forecast third week of August?
5. Oh man, what a pack of weak sisters the Europeans are.
Cameron ,   USA   (08.02.08)
When it comes to avoidance & screwing off, no one the rivals the EU.
6. need exact Euro response
Future1   (08.02.08)
The US, France, Germany and England need to produce a document that states EXACTLY what sanctions will occur at what stages of their nuclear breakthroughs The Iranian people need to understand that their country will rust away so they will rise up against these radicals. Sadly if this is not done and the sanctions are not agreed upon with specific timelines then Israel should strike and force the US to also strike. For the sake of the world, I hope Europe WAKES UP and drafts this document FAST!!!
7. Europe is on it's knees in front of the Iranian Terrorist
Steven Wilson ,   Anchorage, Alaska   (08.02.08)
But what is new about this. They were on their knees in front of Hitler also. Same dance different song.
8. Feel free to bomb Iran
Zach ,   Tallahassee, Florida   (08.02.08)
Iran obviously doesn't care what anybody says and will continue their nuclear program. Since they hate everybody else ,(especially Isreal) and want to kill us, if Isreal would bomb Iran (unlike the other people without spines) then the U.S.A. would be backing them and chering them on. As far as most of us are concerned it would be one less country that hates the best people on Earth and would be a public service. In the words of an old wise man "car bomb me once I hate you; car bomb me twice I NUKE you."
9. Of course! the P.U (oops, E.U.) is going soft on Iran...
Rivkah   (08.02.08)
Pravda (Russia's newspaper) reported Prime Minister Putin went to see the P.U. (oops, E.U.) leaders to tell them Russia and Red China are about to attack America and for the P.U. (darn this typewriter, E.U.) had better stay out of it or they will get hit, too. Psalms 83 and Ezekiel 38 are coming to pass shortly, and maybe Ezekiel chapter 32 and Isaiah chapter 17:1 start it all off. Why do Russia and Red China want to attack America? They think America is causing the earthquakes in Red China, when it is probably Russia passing the blame. An Islamic crescent is forming! with Russia (Magog) at the head. This crescent will have the mouth of a lion (Iran? since Persia's old flag had a lion on it), the feet of a bear (Russia), the body of a leopard (China?) and it speaks like a dragon (symbol of China). Of course that Biblical description is also on the coat of arms of the Prince of Wales, so time will tell who the anti-Chirst is who attacks Israel which is Judah in the Middle East, Mannaseh (USA) and Ephraim (British Commonwealth). That is an odd coat of arms for the Prince of Wales, so the British Monarchy representing the Bilderbergers, the Club of Rome crowd, the CFR, etc. are up to no good in all of that. According to Alex Jones DVD "ENDGAME", those people LIKE Red China's approach to people. They want a totalitarian government for the rest of the world, too.
10. Europe goes soft
I.Kemp ,   Nahariya Israel   (08.02.08)
That was a dead cert !
11. "Europe goes soft...."
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (08.02.08)
Hilarious. What an under-statement. Europe has gone more than soft, they have surrendered. There is nothing they will fight for & the price for appeasement will be the end of them.
12. Iran will have a nuclear bomb next year.
Robert Bernier   (08.02.08)
There is no doubt that Iran is the greatest national security threat to the state of Israel. Two nuclear bombs would destroy Israel. Given the overwhelming amount of evidence, anyone who doubts that Iran is actively seeking technology to build nuclear weapons is simply delusional. Those who believe the Iranian regime is willing to forgo what it sees as the divinely inspired mission of eliminating Israel are, at best, dangerously naïve. Those who think Iranian leaders are more worried about survival than reaching paradise and attaining Islam’s ultimate victory, are not listening with open ears. All too many Westerners fall prey to the soft bigotry that presumes men like Ahmadinejad are incapable of saying what they mean and meaning what they say. The West should wake up: http://tinyurl.com/4svgto

14. EUROPE DID NOT GO SOF,TERRY.......#11
MAHMOOD ,   LONDON-UK   (08.02.08)
I understand little of business but no country would take the risks when it comes to energy requirements.Like the way Swiss surprised many in the region with a deal with Iran,I feel that some more countries will follow Switzerland. There is a limit to everything. After having been given numerous intelligence report on the issue of Nuclear technology by their OWN Intelligence,to insist upon making sure that Iran is denied even the right to utilise the energy for civil purposes is,I feel, going bit too far.To outright condemn and criticise EU is also not appropriate.Furthermore,it is very less likely that EVERYTHING has to be the way one wants............rarely does that happen. If USA could overnight decide to send a representative to join the meeting in Geneva although Condoliza had wowed NOT to attend any meeting with the Iranians till they freeze uranium enrichment altogether, why can'd the EU also view their moves accordingly. Then to announce AFTER the Geneva meeting that the USA rep was there only to LISTEN is a plausible excuse. USA and EU will have to recognise Iran's legitimate rights and treat them with respect, which has been missing,Terry.Once that happens, you will be amazed how Iranians will react. But to constantly categorise them as being part of 'axis of evil',uncivilised and murderers will only please few around but is of no avail to anyone.Deal with them with respect.
15. Israel & Iran
Anwar Sukkar ,   Sydney Australia   (08.02.08)
16. The infested EU supports Iran...
marlene ,   Philadelphia, USA   (08.02.08)
In plain English: THE EU SUPPORTS IRAN'S NUCLEAR INTENTIONS - PERIOD!
17. #14 Had the Iranians...
Soeren ,   Cologne/Germany   (08.02.08)
... an honest interest in using atomic energy for civilian purposes only – they would have built a "light water atomic reactor" which can produce energy but not "weapon grade uranium". They would have received even support by the EU and a lot of economical benefits (the EU offered this for the last years if Iran stops its uranium enrichment). But the Iranians instead decided exactly for THIS SPECIAL TYPE of atomic energy which results in the ability to create and enrich "weapon grade uranium" for the use in atomic bombs. Furthermore, take character and actions of the Iranian regime into consideration – as well as their constant threats against other countries. No, the Iranian regime definetely does not deserve respect. Instead strict red lines have to be drawn – followed by actions (also militarily) if necessary...
