1. Sick
Seth ,   Israel   (08.04.08)
Maybe if Hamas would stop smuggling drugs and guns they could care for their own people. These people getting treatment in Israel get it for free. The people they are attacking are paying for their medical treatment! When one side of a war refuses to follow international law, the other side can and should disregard them as well. Personal survival is more important than arbitrary rules made by others.
2. Maybe...
Elana ,   Israel   (08.04.08)
Maybe this way we can find where Gilad Shalit is being held.
3. Free treatment
Larry ,   zefat israel   (08.04.08)
What do they expect,Free Treatment?
4. they can always be treated in Egypt.
AK   (08.04.08)
To expect Israelis to treat the very people who try to murder them and raise their children to be genocidal Jew-haters, is beyond sick -- it is immoral, antiSemitic and has nothing whatsoever to do with human rights. Quite to the contrary, those so-called human rights organizations are not supporting human rights but are the defenders of the worse of the violators of human rights and thus beyond contempt. I will never again give them even a penny -- and that goes for Physicians for Human Rights.
5. No matter what we do it isn't enough for Israel haters
steve ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (08.04.08)
It is a sad day that the left has nothing left to do but to criticize as a sport. Maybe they would be more effective if they volunteered their time helping the poor in our country. But God for bid they should be helpful.
6. Damn "rigts" or Beilin spies in Israel
They are enemies ,   USA   (08.04.08)
why don't you look for your rights in the 22 Arab dictatorships?
7. they want to destroy Israel That is their objective!
Beware of the Left ,   USA   (08.04.08)
8. compulsive defenders of our enemy
anti sick-lefties   (08.04.08)
Those leftists who care only for our eneny's welfare are mentally sick. Bombers and potential shahids are given medical help in Israel. Isn't this fair enough ?? At least should we get some information from them as a preemtive step before being hurt by them or by their relatives .
9. Human Right Groups
Ricardo Macher ,   KarneiShomron Israel   (08.04.08)
It is very sad to see that all this people have nothing better to do in life but to work against Israel. There are thousands of "irgunim" in Israel working silently to help out our fellow Jews. Of course the press won't go after them to comment about good things that do happen in Israel, on the contrary, they will open their microphones and pages for this despicable traitors.
10. "have already received exit permits from Israel"
5th generation ,   Israel   (08.04.08)
Well, Miri, the bulldozer drivers had more than permits. Did it matter?
11. #7 Beware of Jews sitting in USA running our country
Simon ,   TA the free city   (08.04.08)
Listen buddy, unless you live in Israel, work here , pay taxes and serve in the IDF - butt out of our lives ! who do you think you are running our country and telling us what to do from the comfort of your armchair in the good ol USA and no we dont want your charity either !
12. good work
mordechai taub ,   jerusalem   (08.04.08)
I was very happy to read that the security authoraties are doing their job.
13. "Physicians for Human Rights"
Mo ,   St. Loius, MI   (08.04.08)
Hi, Long time reader, first time commentor: Doing a brief search on the Physicians for Human Rights websight for gilad shalit reveals no hits. Dear, DEAR Doctors: WHY is that?
14. Physicians and Humans Rights
Dr D ,   Jerusalem   (08.04.08)
A delegation of those idealistic physicians should fight to get permits to go and work directly in Gaza couple of days every week. Under their pressure Hamas will divert Iranian funds in to better hospitals. Maybe some psychiatric (Jewish docs are good on that) center in Gaza will convince the Palestinians to stop sending their children to die and stop killing their sisters for honor reasons . Miri..denouncing our security practices is highly stupid of you and you should be sitting in PHR-Israel office in Gaza City.
15. BBC report
La Comparsita ,   Londonistan UK   (08.04.08)
naturally there was a lengthy report on this on the BBC Today programmme this morning and naturally they omitted to mention the 15 or so Gazans treated in Israeli hospitals over the weekend, having fled from the fighting with Hamas.
16. Terrorists are not entitled to the protected status of POWs.
Robert Bernier   (08.04.08)
Terrorists are not entitled to the protected status of POWs. The behavior of the terrorist organizations has two implications for the law applying to prisoners taken in Arab-Israeli conflicts. On the one hand, the organizations themselves illegally defy the laws of war by depriving Israeli POWs of their protected rights such as the right to contact Red Cross representatives and communicate with their families. On the other hand, the terrorists are not entitled to the protected status of POWs, and are subject to prosecution as war criminals. Indeed, these organizations fall under the definition of terrorist groups under such instruments as the International Convention for the Suppression of Terrorist Bombings, and Israel – like other states – is legally obliged to take a variety of steps to foil the terrorists’ activities and bring them to justice. Sue ,   Carmiel   (08.04.08)
19. So what?
Mike ,   Jerusalem   (08.04.08)
Should we provide them with free medical care? Let them repay our kindness by helping us save Jewish Lives!
20. Let them go to Egypt, Syria or any arab country
Bernie ,   formerly Seattle   (08.04.08)
if they want free medical care! We are not the Arab Welfare office, we owe them nothing. If a Jew can't afford medical care do these leftists human rights groups care?
21. Hearsay becomes fact if anonymous Palestinians tell it?
Fact vs. Fiction ,   Please verify   (08.04.08)
Forget international law. What about normative conceptions of justice such as the importance of evidence, the weakness of hearsay and 'innocent until proven guilty'? Double standard as usual, NGOs. Yellow journalism as usual, Ynet.
22. Ohysicians foe Human Rights are hypocrites!
JAy3 ,   Israel   (08.04.08)
They never complain about the treatment of Israeli captives.....never complain about suicide attacks on innocent civilians...never complain about any other human right violations in Arab countries! ONLY ISRAEL! If you want to talk about human rights, why do the Arabs in Israel have a better standard of living then in any other Arab country. Go to hell you pack of hypocrites!
23. SO... LET HAMAS TREAT THEM
Andrew ,   Miami,Fl   (08.04.08)
