Islam is a religion of death. Muslims are taught from little up to hate the Jews. If nothing else, the Jordanian government may be doing this to keep the anti-Jewish incidents at a minimum. However, though there would be international uproar in Jews requested of Muslims not to carry their Koran in Israel, there would be no point to Israelis confiscating such material as your average Jew could care less about what a Muslim believes if they would just leave the Jew alone.
