31. #18 Simon. THE TORAH HASN'T CHANGED & NEVER WILL CHANGE
Miriam ,   Israel   (08.14.08)
not in 2008 and not in 6008 and not ever! There's no logical reason you have to live with a woman before marriage as some seculars and non-Jews do. There's no hatred and no extremism involved with saying something so morally understandable. Btw I haven't heard of religious general Jews’ policy of "throwing acid in a young girls face or breaking in to a single womans apartment and beating her senseless in the name of religious modesty". The Torah and its laws are not mine but the laws from G-d that every Jew, including you, Simon, are required to abide by if you like it or not. If you were to follow the Torah, you wouldn’t be so jealous of the beautiful lives religious Jews are leading and you wouldn’t need to slander the Torah, the Rabbis and your religious ancestors, and hate them so much. If the Torah in Leviticus considers homos an abomination and an immorality then that’s what it is even though you’ve long obliterated those words from your dictionary or altered their meaning. Shaarei tshuva lo ninalu, Simon. Never too late as long as you’re in this world.
32. Thank G-d for the wisdom of our Rabbis. Not.

33. #23 SPREAD THE HAPPINESS,SPREAD THE BUTTER,SPREAD WHAT ELSE
IMMORALITY IS HAPPY ,   HAHA..........DACON9   (08.14.08)
34. # 31 thanks Mirriam but not for me
Simon ,   TA the free city   (08.14.08)
I guess we are all on our own paths, and we all have the right to choose, i am very happy the way i am and im sure you are happy the way you are. But a religious lifestyle is not for me and i choose not to live by the Mitzvot or accept religious rulings. Regarding the gay issue, unless yo are gay yourself you can never understand what it is to be gay. it is not a disability a disease or some anti religious stand, it is who i am , someones genetic makeup, and i accept that and am happy with that. I know of religious men who are gay and have relations with men on the side, in my view that is wrong. Each and everyone of us is entitled to love and to live our lives as we choose. As i do not accept the Torah or live by its rules or its interpretation of gay men, therefore i do not and never will accept such judgment. Its like telling a black man you are white. As a Gay man i am not physically attracted to women and never will be and i am not going to marry a woman and pretend to be straight when im not. i have to say because of your extreme views i can not associate myself with a religion of such hatred. For those that know me, they will say i am a good man , who always triesto help others who are less fortunate than i am. It seems we should be building bridges between secular and religious people , based on respect and tolerance regardless of our beliefs, for a divided nation is a weak nation. I would wish you a shabbat Shalom but you once told me i am not allowed to, but anyway i wish you well.
35. I always wanted a M.I.L.F.....
Yishai ,   USA   (08.14.08)
36. More arbitrary BS in the name of Torah Judaism....
Andy ,   ramat hasharon   (08.14.08)
Complete with an endorsement from Miriam the Moron.
37. #19 - Miriam....you are running out of time....
Andy ,   ramat hasharon   (08.14.08)
because you're an asshole, not because of your age. I'd like to see the unfortunate man who would go out with you twice - let alone the two men who would go out with you at all.
38. Thank you Oh GREAT ONE!
shrinkDave ,   Miami USA   (08.14.08)
How fortunate for us that the Great One has validated the lives of women "who can't wait." Good luck to the followers of Narcissism who have been trained, by the Book, to bow to Personality Disordered malignant narcissists of the world.
39. When I get old I can become a swinger.
(08.14.08)
40. My Brother's!
Ely ,   Pardes Chana   (08.14.08)
Rabbi Aviner is one of the Greatist Jews living today! As a Secular Jew I have met him and love his Holy Books! More important he is not afraid to say the Torah opinion on every issue! May there be more Jew's like him. Please some of the comment's about him (not nice) are from people who don't know the difference between right and left. A little modesty is called for!
41. Is it kosher for her to have sex with
jason white ,   afula,israel   (08.14.08)

42. #18, Simon: you're a brainwashed t.a. lefty
(08.15.08)
43. #20, BESALEL: VERY WELL SAID, THANKS.
SETTHERECORDSTRAIGHT   (08.15.08)
44. Since reading this, my Bobba only wants to double date
Alan ,   Sa   (08.15.08)
45. Hey, DACON9, buddy ! I've missed you!
Pumpkin Pie   (08.15.08)
Haven't "seen" you in ages. Hope you're doing well. What have you been up to? I've been hanging out in church and going to Bible study learning, so I've been too busy to visit Ynet for a while. All my best wishes to you. Heathenly yours, Pumpkin Pie :-) And DACON9, here's a philosophical question for you: What would be better? Dating two reform women, or dating one Christian woman who would at least consider converting? Or would you have to swear off both and just live as a monk for the rest of your life? (an orthodox Jewish monk, of course.)
46. Let in the Clowns
Zeeknay Tzfat ,   Gush Etzion,Israel   (08.15.08)
BS"D/This man was my brother's "Rav" for too long until he realized that one man cannot fashion religion to his personal quirks. With his own newsletters site and radio show where he answered questions in Halacha for "today" generation I kept my mouth shut in the name of family peace.Following a liberal letter of the law is fine if you have backing in Torah for it,but this man set up his own school of thought, based on personal preferences in order to gather a large following. Rav Shlomo Rifkind did this with charisma. Rav Aviner hasn't. He has become completely ostrasized by the Zionist-Religous who once accepted him.I am not a follower of Rav Rifkind.Nor is he a bafoon.
47. Full Disclosure is best either way
(08.15.08)
Interesting that of all the comments, pro and con, (perhaps I missed it, but) I do not see any that advocate for full disclosure. If one is dating more than one other person, they should be honest and inform all of those people. It is then up to the person that they are dating to accept (or not) the situation. Honesty is best.
48. Anybody Ready to Read Baruch Spinoza?
NoToGod   (08.16.08)
Intelligent people stopped paying attention to outdated rabbis, imams, ayatollahs. clerics..... one of my best friend was an Episcopal chaplain. His faith was Enlightenment. never mentioned god outside of the prayers or mess.
49. Depends on what's old
Amused   (08.18.08)
In the frum world, I guess that's any girl over the age of 22!!!!!
50. birth control for the elderly
hanina   (08.20.08)
who wants to see a 94 year old pregnant woman walking down the street anyway? We old ladies have enough to worry about without getting knocked up. multiple options, multiple decisions.
51. Assur to listen
Aviner Questions ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (08.26.08)
BS"D It doesn't really matter what Shlomo Aviner says, nor if he happens to be correct on this issue or not. Rabbis Lior, Yosef, and Levanon remind us that since Shlomo Aviner instructs people to transgress Torah prohibitions punishable by Karet, one may not ask him, listen to him on ANY issue, nor trust in his articles or books: http://shlomo-aviner.blogspot.com/2006/09/rabbinic-announcement-to-torah-public.html (רשום גם בעברית) Shlomo Aviner ignored the Bet Din set up by Rabbi Mordekhai Eliyahu, even though he said he would show up and listen to their ruling.
52. Am I Old at 22?
Ariela ,   Israel   (12.04.08)
I'm 22 years old. Nearly all of my friends from Midrasha or otherwise are married... some even are pregnant or having children! I am old according to the community... perhaps I fall into this multi-dating category? And why the hell can men multi-date without question?
53. Time is marching on for all of us, EVERY DATE COUNTS!!
