Why does the defendant require bail? The judge has agreed that he was arrested in revenge for his daughter's having videoed 'our brave boys' doing a 'dangerous and thankless job - protecting us from terrorists.' It is now time for compensation for the illegal detention and for loss of earnings. Let's see whether the state is able to move into the 20th century (the 21st would be too much to expect)

Boy are you stupid. The charges were not dropped.....he was just released on bail. No need to start foaming at the mouth and getting all excited. You saw the video tapes and know very well these protesters were throwing rocks and far from peaceful!

It is curious that the judge required a monetary bail rather than releasing the prisoner on his own recognizance especially after it found there was no evidence provided by the Israeli authorities to warrant any detention. Yet, the Israeli soldier and the officer in charge responsible for shooting the bound Palestinian were both released immediately without posting bonds. Why is there such an egregious double standard?. Also, if Israel has nothing to hide, why doesn't the IDF videotape, without editing, the demonstrations to prove who is at fault? Or os it afraid to show the truth of the matter?
