For once the chief Rabbinate should act to reenforce the judicial system. These men are not only harming their victims they are destroying the reputation of Judaism by making it seem as extreme as Islam. Also once and for all those extremists should see they are not above the law of the land.

Whether there are people breaking the local ordinances in a town or city is a matter for the police to investigate and enforce. The citizens have a right to demand action against community disturbance, but never to overstep the bounds with violence. The police need to prosecute whoever is breaking the law. If there are "modesty squads" out oloose--this turns Israel into a Jewish Saudi Arabia or a Jewish Iran. The govt. should be there to protect people's rights--and to arrest those who see a divine mission to diminish them.

Ynet keeps referring this as the communities modesty squad. Yet I notice not one Rabbi is mentioned as supporting them. Not one Rabbi has been arrested for supporting them. No mass demonstrations for these thugs release. It seems they are just thugs who appointed themselves as a modesty squad with no support from the Torah community.

The article is about how they were arrested and are in jail without bail. In the US where you live they would be out on jail and get a slap on the wrist. In Israel they will go to jail for years and get extra time because they are "religious" On the other hand if Arabs kill Jews they are released early as a gesture of goodwill.

If Buzaglo says he was not involved and the victim couldn't identify him, is the only link to the crime fingerprints in the apt? Is there another way the fingerprints could have gotten there?
