As recently as the 20th century, they supported the Germans in World War I. Were those Germans brave liberal defenders of poor victimized natives of non-Western cultures? Not all Easterners are such poor victimized underdogs as you insinuate, and they do not necessarily descend from poor, victimized, brutalized peoples themselves. I get sick everytime some idiot says that Muslims worship the same G-D as me. I am a Bible believing Pentecostal Christian and their isn't anyway that my G-D is the same as theirs. Dear Mr. Brackman, My wife and I recently returned from an extended stay in Italy. Our only English language newscasts were BBC World News and Aljazeera World News in English. We had assumed that the Aljazeera newscasts would have a lot of anti-US and anti-Jewish content. While we cannot speak to the Arabic language broadcasts, we were forced to change our opinions regarding Aljazeera's English language newscasts. We are educated and patriotic Americans, but we were unable to detect any anti-Americanism or anti-Jewish content in their newscasts. They actually seemed to cover U.S. news more thoroughly than our friends at BBC. They are a bit heavier on mid-eastern and African news than BBC or, certainly, CNN. But if there was bias in their reporting we were unable to detect it. We felt their English language newscasts were on a par with BBC. Thanks for your consideration. Hello Al Jazeera might be mild and acceptable in English. This is called successful marketing. But the Arabic Al Jazeera is a great friend of Jihad and the Veterans who spoke up know this. Al Jazeera is Arabic is much much larger than what you say

The English version is not the same as the even more anti-semitic Arabic version, however, you are correct with it being on par with the BBC which is biased towards the oil producers i.e. Arabs. It seems you failed to understand the thrust of the article. The townspeople were against al-Jazeera and not Arabs. Israel recently had to take action against al-Jazeera as well as it gave a hero's welcome to a child killer that was released from prison.
