31. #40 , again your hatred Keren
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (08.29.08)
and this even you are , it can happen , right . But say it in a more human way , not in your hatefull language
32. It is beyond me to understand why ...
Keren ,   Israel-SP   (08.29.08)
...a retarded as charles is published!
33. Keren , No wonder you can't understand
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (08.29.08)
You're not smart enough . Do you know already that the Arab market in Jerusalem is in the eastern part ?
34. 33 - it's because she has a galut idea of israel
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (08.29.08)
keren refuses to accept israel as it is: a democratic secular jewish state with recognized minority citizens. that is israel. she should treat people as flesh and blood people who have the same value as her, regardless of how they were born or what ideas they have. but, because it is a free country, she can spread her hate, prejudice, and intolerance as she likes. i know all brazilians are not as obnoxious as she is, but she is definitely giving me a worse impression of them the longer she self righteously rants and raves.
35. Mike
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (08.30.08)
She can have the ideas she wants , but what is intolerable is : a] hate b] putting all the others in one basket [ all the non Jews are scrap for her ] The same for people putting all the religious and charidim in one basket [ all of them are non productive , don't serve in the IDF , and so ] She is only a very BAD sample of Brazilians and "religious" people . That's probably because she don't know religion
36. Mike, you're not doing better than Keren whith your remarks
about brazilians ,   GUESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   (08.30.08)
But there is a major interesting point here: neither she claims to be brazilian, neither those "shavei israel" or "bnei anussim" claim to be converts. They are christian missionaires, no problems, but liars as they claim to be not only jews but, according to their brazilian home pages, "The Jews" ,rejected, discriminated, sfaradim.... rejected by all the other "bad jews" who, by chance, are we.That's traditional christian antisemitism, and , besides, very strange and dangerous as their declared goal is to obtain recognition by national authorities They claim this on the basis of their "DNA" and, that's even more surprising: The oral torah/ halacha(they correspond here to our orthodoxy stances) They are very well structured, spreading confusion and, as I realize now, they are an international very weallthy organization.
37. 35
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (08.30.08)
what is sad is that right now she is carefully keeping this shabbat as torah commands, yet before and after shabbat she says and does such hateful things which her torah forbids. and she doesn't see any problem with that at all. on the other hand, at least once a week shabbat keeps her away from us.
38. To 36 , she comes from Sao Paolo
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (08.30.08)
This is what she wrote .
39. 36 er, ok
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (08.30.08)
i have no idea what you said, but if you don't want the bnei anusim, or whomever else for that matter, we goyyim will be happy to call them one of our own. we won't discriminate. unless sao paulo is not in brazil, your brazilian girl keren is brazilian. ask her.
40. dear mike:Ihavetwonationalitiesone braziliananother Israeli.
Keren ,   Israel-SP   (08.31.08)
I was born in Brasil, after my parents fled communist and antisemitic Romania(VERY ANTISEMITIC ROMANIA!). Yes,I am Brasilian;what is the problem? I am Jewish too, thats why I am Israeli too;what's the problem? And of course I am not a typical Brasilian, since ,because of my cultural background, there are many other acquired traces in my being, comming from my long exile from my original Land-Israel.I had been a long way,but now,I thank G'od ,I am back home.Do you also have an interesting background to be traced and told to us? (watch out your english,mike-the rule in english, when you use the "i"after the "y",you don't have to double the "y".Once is enough.Must I,an Israeli/brasilian teach you english? And...don't you think that for a good christian, your reply to me is a bit full of hatred?Aren't you supposed to love me,despite anything ? charles,I have a question for you: You say that there is no wonder I can't understand why a retarded as you is published...OK,explain to me, then ,why a retarded as you is published.
41. And my last reply to clever mike #39
Keren ,   Israel-SP   (08.31.08)
Didn't you read the article?: the "bnei anusim" are already christian, and they don't want to be called "your own",mike.Actually mike, different from you ,who, despite the fact of being a bit confused about your own indoctrination, they want to be called Jews, quite the same as you ,who just don't want to confess.Maybe they are a bit more honest:they do not disguise the assault!
42. #34 and again...
Keren ,   Israel-SP   (08.31.08)
What is that implicit in this insistence of yours to call me brasilian, knowing I am Jewish and Israeli? Is this your ingrained inacceptance of Jews comming back to their home? Watch out! This is not the first time you set clear your ideas about the Jewish return to our land, not only by refusing the fact that a "brasilian"is in her own Land -Israel ,and insisting in that identity-brasilian, as being the true and only one I have, but also for you positions towards our Jews settling our own land,Jews that you call "provocators". Watch out !We have an eye on you,and before you think you are the boss in our land and that we have obligations towards you goyim, who wish to keep being goyim here the way you are pleased, keep in mind that things are not like that and that, that will never happen. In the future ,near future ,hopefully, Israel will rid itself of churches and idolaters .We are commanded to clean it,and we will.It can take a while but it will happen. Then,if you are happy to live among us without any church, included evangelic, you might be well come, but if not ,dear...consider your rear back OUT of here!
43. 40, 41, 42 - i can't help it if you like to watch me
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (08.31.08)
now i can say that jewish girls have their eye on me. in your dreams, my little brazilian flower.
44. Keren , you can't understand that...
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (08.31.08)
I'm published because smart people , not you , think it's worthy to publish smart tb's from smart people .
45. Keren , the ex brazilian
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (08.31.08)
Why do we call you so ? because we can see that the favella where you are coming from , had a great influence on you , you an uneducated , ignorant hatefull bigot
46. To Rafael Sousan
Jew ,   Israel   (08.31.08)
If Sousan is your father's last name, he probably has Jewish roots too.
47. Now,my opinion about Anusim.
Keren ,   Israel-SP   (08.31.08)
I know some families in Brasil who claim to be Anusim ,and who accepted to go through an ortodox conversion and today they are and live Jewish lives. They needed a conversion, because too much time have passed and so there was a chance them not to be really Jews, hence the conversion-a kind of confirmation. But in the other hand,I know as well brasilians who call themselves anusim, insist in push themselves in our religious midst, but are nothing else than christians, and more over ,antisemitic christians, the same old christians assaultants who ended up massacrating Jews ,just to rob them.Pure envious and nasty people!
48. Oooh thank you Keren, your 47 talkback is a work of art
and it was worth the ,   wait. More please   (08.31.08)
49. Bnai Anousim
(09.01.08)
Some of the bnai anousim do convert and are gerei tzedek, but unfortunately, there are others who in their hearts and beliefs remain Xtian. And some of them are missionaries.
50. #30 Real Jews
Rafael Sousan ,   Lisboa, Portugal   (09.01.08)
"You can agree or not with whatever you want, but one,to be part of the Jewish People, must agree with what WE consider correct, otherwise he/she can keep being christian,muslim,budhist,atheist...We just don't care. " I know i don't agree with you and Science proves me right. It's the DNA that counts. Not religion. And yes there are jews, i.e., people with jewish ethnicity, who follow other beliefs. They're still jews because the DNA is there. But i'm guessing you don't even know what DNA is. You're like one of those american mormons, who still refuse to accept that we descend from primitive primates and that we're all connected to Africa. Let me tell you something else: jews and arabs are brother ethnicities whether you like it or not. It's been scientifically proven that there is a strong genetic connection between both ethnicities. The decription of Isaac and Ismael also supports this fact. Arabs are the descendants of Ismael while jews descend from Isaac. So in my eyes, it's a shame that both sides have become enemies. I wonder what Abraham/Ibrahim would say about his descendants. In my guess he would disaprove this hate. One more thing Keren. When you support hate and prejudice in the name of your religious interpretation, which you claim to be the supreme one( oh, because you can't be wrong) , not only you're acting like an extremely arrogant person, but also like a blind religious fundamentalist, just like Sheik Hassan Nasrallah, Osama Bin Ladden, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and other muslim fanatics. You're not different from them when it comes to being human. The only difference is you eat kosher and pray in different language. It's tha tkind of attitude that keeps the world in danger. Shalom
51. Rafael , # 50
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (09.02.08)
The DNA counts for you , OK . Not always for me . Did you hear about this French bishop , mgr Lustiger . He converted to christianity and became a bishop . I , a secular atheist , but 100 % Jewish , did'nt see much Jewishness in this person when he was saying his mass at the notre dame cathedral in Paris . So it's not only DNA . You can't say you are Jewish and believing in jesus . You only can be of Jewish origin . To be recognised as a Jew , by religious authorities [ not by me ] you must undergo conversion . For me a convert is'nt Jewish , you need some generations before you have this Jewish Background , this Jewish history engraved in your blood . You can say that i'm a racist , no problem for me , i'm Jewish first of all , certainly for a twenty generations on my Father's side .
52. Charles #51
(09.02.08)
"To be recognised as a Jew , by religious authorities [ not by me ] you must undergo conversion" I don't care if religious authorities don't consider me a jew. I'm a man of Science. Science doesn't lie. And DNA is an undeniable fact. You can trace a jew by DNA. In the eyes of a Nazi or a fanatic christian it doesn't matter if you don't follow judaism. You're part of the race. That's all that matters. Jews are those who descend from the 12 tribes of Israel. "You can't say you are Jewish and believing in Jesus " Of course you can. For the reasons i mentioned above. The same goes for Mohamed. Oh, and if you're thinking i'm a christian you're dead wrong. I'm not, simply because i don't accept his interpretation of God and the all stories about his miracles and ressurection. Those are obvious lies to me. I also understand that according to the Tanach he can never be considered the Messiah since he didn't fullfill the conditions to be so. Christians do though but because most of them never read the original Torah. Only a censored version written by the roman catholics. And for what i see, most of them don't even know well the censored version. They give more importance to the New Testament. But even though i'm not a christian it doesn't mean i dismiss some of the values taught by him, i.e., the values of peace, understanding, compassion, forgiveness, equality etc. which in my perspective are talmudic values. The difference between Jesus and the priests during his time was that he gave more enphasis to this values, placing them above some of the Torah laws which he found unnaceptable (like stoning adulterous women). So I can only accept the Torah as long as you don't interpret it literally. You have to see that some of parts of the Torah are written in a metaphorical and allegorical style. Or do yiu really believe that all humans descend from a man named Adam and woman named Eve in the way it his described in the Torah, when Science proves you exactly that we're the result of an Evolution and natural selection process? I can accept the idead of God as long as we define it as being the Universe, that is, all of us humans, and everything else that surrounds us. To put you an example. When you say God passed to Moses the Ten Commandments, i say it was Moses himself (who's a part of God/Universe) who defined them. Did he do it alone? Maybe with the help of some of his advisors (them too a part of God). Another example is the conquest of Jericho. It is said the wall feel down due to God's help. Science will tell you it was an earthquake, given the the fact that Jericho is located in a sismic area. Hence when you say that God is the Universe, an earthquake has to be understood as a physical phenomen that occurs in a part of the Univers/God. In this case, Jericho. So in my perspective everything we do is an act from a part of God (us humans), that is, when we consider God to be the Universe of which we're part of, just like all other living beings and non living elements that surround us. Shalom
53. To 52 , wrong
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (09.02.08)
for the nazis you were only Jewish if you had at least ONE Jewish grandparent . Not if you had a Jewish faraway origin . Being Jewish and believing in jesus ? don't make me laugh . Jews and christians are two opposite religions . For one their messias has come , for Jews the Massiach is still awaited . You are a scientist [ you told us ] , so for you only the DNA counts . Let me tell you that being Jewish is much more than having a DNA you have in common with some Jews who lived 500 years ago . You have'nt this Jewish background , nor this Jewish History engraved in your blood and brains . And that's why , even with your DNA , you have to undergo conversion , and i'll consider your great grandchildren as being Jewish .
54. #53 , No you're wrong
Rafael Sousan ,   Lisboa, Portugal   (09.03.08)
"for the nazis you were only Jewish if you had at least ONE Jewish grandparent . Not if you had a Jewish faraway origin . " Yeah right... "Being Jewish and believing in jesus ? don't make me laugh . Jews and christians are two opposite religions " I think we're having a misunderstang here. I'm talking in racial terms not religious. Of course you can't follow Judaism and Christianism or Islamism at the same time. But you can be a jew and follow Christianism or Islamism just like an arab can follow Christianism or Budhism. He won't stop being an arab. "Let me tell you that being Jewish is much more than having a DNA you have in common with some Jews who lived 500 years ago " In a religious perspective you may be right. In a scientifical perspective you're wrong. The genetic code for jews has been identified. If someone has it then he's classified as a jew whether he follows the jewish religion or not. Period. "You have'nt this Jewish background , nor this Jewish History engraved in your blood and brains" In a country where jewish people were forced to convert to christianism for almost 500 years how can you expect that the majority of present descendants have any proximity with Judaism? Many of them are not even aware of their jewish origins! And for what concerns Jewish History, let me tell you that you're statement is way out of head. I have no jewish History engraved? Not your History for sure because jews in Portugal followed a different path from jews in other parts of the world. "And that's why , even with your DNA , you have to undergo conversion , and i'll consider your great grandchildren as being Jewish " Once again you fail to understand that i don't care about if you consider me a jew or not. My genetics are defined by Science not by your religious opinion. And Science is above religion. It cannot be questioned. Religions can. Like i said an arab will always be an arab no matter if he follows Judaism or Budhism. The same goes for jews or any other ethnic group. So i'll state once again I'm an atheist jew and a zionist too. Not because of religion but because that's where my ancestors come from. That's the land of my people. Shalom
55. Rafael
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (09.03.08)
As i said , and i'm at all not religious , you can't be Jewish and believe in jesus . You can be of Jewish origin , but not Jewish . How can you consider a follower of jesus , with faraway Jewish ancestors , in whom's name YOU were persecuted and murdered for being a Jew , as being a Jew ? To belong to a people is not only DNA , it's much more . That's my way of thinking , and no science can change this . Now , you can certainly be a Zionist , why not . You can be atheist , i am it too . But being Jewish , i don't think it שלום
56. Rafael , final tb
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (09.03.08)
You can consider yourself as a Jew , or as what do you want . No problem for me and other people . But to BE considered as a Jew by Jews , you need to fullfill other conditions , claiming it is far from enough .
57. #55 Charles
(09.03.08)
"As i said , and i'm at all not religious , you can't be Jewish and believe in jesus . " First of all i don't believe in Jesus as being the saviour of the Earth or the Messiah or whatever. I just said i agree with some of the principles he taught to his disciples, which are part of Talmud and are also common in other religions such a Budhism. Jesus according to was is commonly said about him was to me a sort of jewish Mahatma Ghandi. As an atheist it's obvious to me that the all Messiah prophecies mean nothing. They're nothing but the product of imagination of our ancestors who lived in the desert more than 3000 years ago. In my view the Torah was just a mythological way of explaining our origins and to legitimize Moses laws. Period. "You can be of Jewish origin , but not Jewish . How can you consider a follower of jesus , with faraway Jewish ancestors , in whom's name YOU were persecuted and murdered for being a Jew , as being a Jew ?" Once again you're confusing religion with Science. I already told you Science is above religion. You can't argue with Science. You can be a jew and follow other religions or being an atheist such as me or yourself. It's the genes that matter in order to classify a person as being part of the jewish, arab, celtic, japanese or indian race etc. Let me put you another example. In Japan, the native religion is Shinto. Now if a japanese family moves in to another country and their descendants don't mix with people from other races do you think their other descendants will stop being japanese even if they pick another religion or become atheists? No. They will still be part of japanese race, that is to say, they will still be japanese. The DNA is still there! In Science it's the DNA that matters. And science is above religion. It can't be questioned. Judaism, Christianism and Islamism on the other can surely be questioned and refused since its basic premisses were based on the knowledge and imagination from a group of people who lived in the desert without knowing the Earth was round or what causes lightining bolts among many other things. And finally i'll remind you that i don't care if religious jews consider me as jew or not. What matters me is the land where my people came from and my genetics. That's what defines me a jew. Do you think romans stoped being romans as soon as they adopted Christianism and quit their multi-god religion? Give me a break! Shalom
58. Rafael , read my last tb
Charles ,   Petach tikva   (09.03.08)
And for the last time i say : you can be of jewish faraway origin . That does'nt make you Jewish at all . And here it isn't a religious man who says it , it's a secular Jew . Over and out .
59. #58, Charles
Rafael Sousan ,   Lisboa, Portugal   (09.03.08)
You're not a secular jew given that you insist on a religious perspective. I on the other hand am a real secular jew. DNA proves it. It's not not your arcaic religious opinion that will change scientifical facts. Period. And obviously i won't convert since i'm an atheist. Pretty obvious don't you think? Think. Shalom

harry lavoe ,   orange county ca   (09.04.08)
In ancient times after the exodus the hebrews worshiped a golden calf and in the times of solomon ashera poles in times of faithlessness. I thiink charles's heart is in the right place to protect judaism but on the other hand......... She has a point in my opinion
