The author of this essay , Chana Givon, wrote a fine article which is not ideological, like much of the content of the Israeli press. She has written an article appealing for the good of the State of Israel, rather than for advancement of a specific interest group. I don't know if you watch any of the overseas news channels but when I see the oppression in China, the human rights abuses in Tibet, Sudan and Zimbabwe, the slums in South America, Africa and Asia and the homeless figures in the great "Goldena Medina - the USA" I really feel that we are actually not too badly off!
