How come the title of the article isn't: "secular grandfather kills granddaughter"? If this was a murder or abuse case in the chareidi sector the headline would include this detail in big bold print.

No doubt the lawyers and the psychologists will find every reason and excuse for the alleged killing of this little girl. Because a child is naughty or whines is a reason to kill? The problem with society today and not only in Israel is that people have forgotten what is right and what is wrong. When you murder innocent people, whether by terrorism or "collateral damage" or you kill a child, there should be mandatory death penalty. It must be mandatory or our judges will just point a finger at the killers and say : Nu, Nu, Nu! Now let our President of the Supreme Court whine and wail about critics of the judiciary which is the joke of the country!

As for her Grandfather,,he should be locked up and beaten like he beat Rose, then after a thorough beating he should be put down like the animal he is. If the child was unwanted as it stated in other articles in the Israeli papers, the y could have surrendered custody to Social services ,who would have found a home for this lovely little girl. Any number of families would have lined up to adopt her!

One cannot comprehend the horror this innocent and beautiful little girl went thru. It must have been horrifying and those responsible for her terrible death should be hanged, to say the least. Such people don't deserve to live! But the LAW is the LAW!!!!

Israel is no different from any country. My father was a policeman in Haifa and Akko in the late 60s and in the 70s. When I was older, he used to tell me all the horrible criminal affairs he covered with his squad in the Haifa Police. It was unbelievable. I could tell you a lot of these details, but I don't have to prove my point. Most of the time, this crime took place within secular jewish israeli family, usually employee or the lower class. I pray for the memory of this little girl, Rose. And I also pray for the techuva of her mother. I don't pray for the lost soul that was her grandfather. He deserves the utmost severe sentence.

If the mother is stressed out during pregnancy or if a child is sexually molested, the child often becomes an out of control child as a result. A loving mother and father can cope somehow, but it is difficult. My sister's first child screamed for up to four hours at a time and would have to be dragged or carried out of stores if she did not get a toy she wanted, with her legs and arms flapping and screaming at the top of her lungs, even when she was four years old. She stressed out her father so much, he could no longer work from stress induced illnesses and my sister had to support the family. She would never have surrendered her child or given up custody, but many parents are not that resilient or loving. Her grandfather at one point told her mother not to bring her near him again, the child was so out of control. This child in the article might still be alive if Israel had a surrender custody law for parents to drop off children and give up custody without questions asked.

God usually gives peace to the Haredi children I have seen in Israel and on airplanes that non-Haredi children do not seem to have. Not all religious people know the Lord, but those who really do are given powers from the Lord like peace, patience, understanding, etc. that others do not have.
