Nobody fears gays. Some people find their lifestyle immoral and wrong for religious and, yes, even secular reasons (do you have to be religious to disagree with the message that these leather- and lasciviousness-filled "parades" send to society at large?); some people resent the gay community's attempts to force the legitimization of their lifestyle down our throats through the courts rather than the democratic process; and I'd imagine that some people just find the idea of two men having sex, well, gross. But you can't honestly say that people who harbor these feelings have a phobia.
