Sooner or later your country must try to deal with its neighbors in ways other than war. If you as a citizen of Israel do not try to positively influence your government then Israel is doomed becasue it cannot stand by itself.

It's not healthy for Israel, and it is INTENSELY unhealthy for the US and the rest of the world, but it is not new. Also, the obsession with oil is not new, and the tendency to mislabel subservience to Arab interests as "prudence" is not at all new. But it's worth watching for any resurgence in these themes, because they are supremely dangerous for the USA and because they are dangerous for Israel.
