31. Throwing it all away

The problem with these giving away-be it pali prisoners or of border areas are that each reduces the country's ability to act with its best interest. This is just one more such move.
32. #28, doesn't barak already have a piece of paper
Danny   (09.02.08)
from the UN saying he pulled out in full? That REALLY "pulled the rug from under Nasrallah's feet". Look how Hizbollah immediately weaken and how it taught the Palestinians that violence doesn't produce results...
33. #29, you mean the same agreement where
Danny   (09.02.08)
the Golan was given to Syria?

Israel's only hope for survival is to move back to its pre-1967 borders, make monetary restitution to dispossessed Palestinians landholders, and seek diplomatic dialog with its Arab neighbors in the Middle East. They must do this before the Arabs and their tranditional enemies (the Persians) become steadfast allies. If these two forces ever join forces Israel is doomed.
35. #34, yeah because that has worked perfectly so far
Danny   (09.02.08)
Israel pulled out to the mm from South Lebanon and Gaza and these are the noisiest borders. Israel hasn't pulled out of the West Bank and Golan and they are the quietest. You do the math...
36. Well Said

fact is this basicaly is the worst thing to happen to Hezbollah, shebaa farms isn't a key defensive area, Hezbollah was created as a supposed resistance, resistance to what now? there is no national struggle to be supportive of Hezbollah anymore, Hezbollah will thus become nothing more then a national symbol, or ruin its legacy by continuing its attacks against Israel
37. #36, asserting the same thing over and over
Danny   (09.03.08)
doesn't make it true. Fact remains that No "resistance"=no arms and money from Syria and Iran=no power for Hizbollah leadership. So there will ALWAYS be a reason to "resist", after Shebaa and Ghajar they'll make something else up

Israel has attacked others, such as the 1967 war in which Israel attacked Egypt to start the war, which makes Israel the aggressor ((yes I know that Israel tried to claim that it was preemptive, but Israeli leaders later admitted that they knew Egypt was in a defensive posture and did not even have the troops deployed to attack Egypt) Also, the UN did not give Israel Palestine or anything, Israel took the when Jews (who were a small minority of the population at the time) declared statehood and declared themselves rulers and claimed the land as theirs. If you study history you would also learn that UN General Assembly resolution 181 only made suggestions to the Security Council, but because it was a General Assembly Resolution it, like the dozens of General Assembly resolutions that Israel ignores today, was not binding on the indigenous population of Palestine, and they thus rejected the UN General Assembly's authority to partition their homeland in order to give it away to European immigrants. Furthermore, the UN Security Council never even voted on UNGAR 181 as prior to the setting up of the commission suggested by the GA and the day before the British Mandate expired, Israel unilaterally declared statehood. The UN then sent Count Folke Bernadette to Palestine to report back to the UN with suggestions, but September 17, 1948, after Bernadotte had composed his report and before he had the opportunity to submit the report to the UN, he was murdered by Jewish terrorists. BTW, Israel occupied the WB mainly for its water resources and secondly because Zionists falsely believed that they could use their religious beliefs to claim the land lived on by others. So the question is, are you willing to allow immigrants (lets say from Mexico) to invade the southern USA, declare statehood and take your homeland from you usin in a similar fashion? I didn't think so!
