1. Dear Europe
david ,   new york, usa   (09.05.08)
Two things from a friendly observer: 1. be careful what you wish for. 2. remember that no good deed goes unpunished.
2. France seems to run out of oil
Dave ,   Zichron Yaacov   (09.05.08)
Or is there any other reason Sarkozy has been kissing all these asses lately?
3. No! to foreign troops in the Land of Israel.
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (09.05.08)
Israel should refuse with all its energie the presence of foreign troops in the Land of Israel. This land is the land of the Jews and Israel can take care of it. No one else has any right on this country. The myth of the “Palestinian people” is based on lies and manipulations of the KGB and does not correspond to the Historical truth, and to moral. It should be rejected as explained at : http://xrl.us/bi3id
4. Another euro push to attack Jews
Arie ,   BaGolan   (09.05.08)
Not enough that we have a unifil on the northern border protecting hezbullah, now the euros want another one on the West Bank to protect the islamofascist terror networks there. And rest assured, our appeasement government will probably offer to transport them in!
5. Re: #3
Matt ,   US   (09.05.08)
Now you know how Lebanon and the Palestinians feel. Just as you do not want foriegn troops in your country, they don't want your troops in theirs. For you to suggest that the Palestinian people are a myth and have no right to exist is just a bad as Iran and others denying the holocaust and calling for your countries exitinction. You sir are a hypocrite and no better than the islamic fanatics. Building a wall around your coutry is not taking care of it!
6. European troops
Serge ,   Antwerp, Belgium   (09.05.08)
What will the European troops do when Palestinian terrorists hide behind them ?
7. Why don't they help Israel instead?
moriah ,   sacramento, USA   (09.05.08)
You know why. It's an open secret. Look, this is a big mistake. They are going to stick their necks out for these murdering bastards and before long a bullet or rocket will find them. What do you suppose will happen then - what will their response be?
8. Matt, if you're such an expert on Palestine
Darren ,   Oakland, CA   (09.05.08)
can you please tell us when Palestine was ever a sovereign country? Can you tell us from what country Palestine got its independence from? Can you tell us what kind of government this Palestine had? Can you tell us where the border between Egypt and Palestine was? Can you tell us how a person acquired Palestinian citizenship? Can you tell us what the GDP of Palestine was in 1922? Can you provide any non-circumstantial evidence for Edward Said's baseless claim that Palestinians are the direct descendants of Canaanites? Chances are you can't answer any of these 7 questions I just asked you because a Palestinian state has never existed. The term Palestine/Falasteen had always referred to a geographical region, not a politcal entity, until the term was hijacked by Arabs and Muslims in the 1960's for the express political purpose of destroying the State of Israel and massacring the region's indigenous inhabitants- the Jews. Robert Bernier isn't being "just as bad as Iran and others denying the holocaust and calling for your countries exitinction"- because Palestine never existed as a political entity, Robert is being factually correct at the expense of being politically correct. Very, very few people actually dig for facts in this conflict and engage in debate based on logic and historical evidence. For the sake of creating a just and lasting peace in the region, please strive to be one of these people.
9. #5 Matt..Did any Arab consider himself a Palastinian pre 68?
Jayyy ,   IsraeL   (09.05.08)
10. #5 Matt, the Holocaust has gone on trial
Bill ,   US   (09.05.08)
The Holocaust deniers have had their day in court. Why don't the pro-"Palestinians" make denying their heritage a crime? I can only assume it's the amount of evidence against them is a concern.
11. New perspective on conflict
Marissa ,   Jerusalem   (09.06.08)
Check out this analysis from Lt. Gen (ret.) Moshe Yaalon from the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs: http://www.jcpa.org/Templates/ShowPage.asp?DRIT=1&DBID=1&LNGID=1&TMID=111&FID=442&PID=0&IID=2515&TTL=A_New_Strategy_for_the_Israeli-Palestinian_Conflict
12. Help like the unfil troops helping the hez-bull-ah?
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (09.06.08)
13. #5 Matt
David ,   USA   (09.06.08)
Matt, Your ignorance is showing. It is obvious you know nothing of Middle Eastern History. #3 is correct. 100% Correct! The borders of Israel as given to them by G-d is from the Nile river to the Euphrates to the Great Sea. It is you who is the hypocrit. Shooting off your mouth about something you obviously have no knowledge of whatever. You sir are an idiot!
14. #8 Darren
David ,   USA   (09.06.08)
Well said Darren. Nothing angers me more than a smart mouthed idiot spouting off about something he knows nothing about. His ignorance is so transparent. Those who have taken the time to study the issue will agree 100% with Robert Bernier. European troops anywhere on Israeli soil will answer to HaShem. That includes Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Iraq and Sinai. Our Father does not recognize mans borders. He set His own and anyone who is stupid enough to try and divide His land, Eretz Israel will suffer His wrath. Which is clearly stated in Yoel and Z'kharyah.
15. France wasn't happy losing Vietnam.
Steven Wilson ,   Anchorage, Alaska   (09.06.08)
Now they have Gaza instead. This is a very bad idea. Once you have to go to war with terrorists in Gaza.....it drags the French into it.
16. Grave Mistake
Brod ,   USA   (09.06.08)
Is the Leftist government trying to surround Israel with AntiSemite/Islamist-Jihadist forces?
17. A Good Thing For Israel
ipeace ,   usa   (09.06.08)
Having the French monitor the border alongside with the PA , "under the guise of helping" is a good thing for Israel. Hamas uses the Rafah crossing to smuggle weapons and other amunitions for attacks on Israel and her people. Having the French keeping an eye out for Israel is only a good thing.
18. EU troops
DT ,   TA Isr   (09.06.08)
Lets hope it is the EU's "Vietnam". They are no more friends of israel than the terrorists
19. Send eurabian troops to Georgia
jason white ,   afula,israel   (09.06.08)
and the ukraine!
20. european?
menachem levi ,   switzerland   (09.06.08)
Israel should not allow EU Troops enter Judea and Samaria. Why they are concentrated on israel: What about their own conflicts in spain, Belgium, Ireland, French, Italy and so on. And then please countrys with such a big numbers of Neonazis like Germany, Belgium,, ... No way to come to israel. We see the result of EU politics already: to accept a state without support from the world ( Kosovo)? And their will be possible many problems because of Kosova see Georgia.Israel needs leaders the look for the jewish Peoble and do not wonna look good in the TV. i miss leaders like Golda, Begin really patriots not rich TV - Stars. Shalom
21. Yeah, since the EU mission in Rafah is such a success!
Ruth ,   Beer Sheva, IL   (09.06.08)
The moment things got a little bit dangerous in June 2007, the EU observers ran like hares to security in Israel. And here they are waiting for better times in Ashkelon...
