3. Very low chances the Iran-Syria axis will be undone
Joe ,   Montreal   (09.11.08)
Syria has associated with violent mafia like states & terrorist groups whose grip on Hafez El Assad is not going to be brocken any time soon if for no other reason than Assad's fear for his own life if he follows the example of Anouar Sadat in making peace with Israel & implements a drastic U-turn in policy towards Iran. As long as Iran is maintaning its current status of regional power not much is to be expected from Assad who has also improved his position by getting veto power in Lebanon through Hezbollah & thus has no fear of being indicted for Hariri's murder. He also is getting more support from Russia as a result of the Georgia recent events. So, he is not in a weakened political condition that can lead to concessions which may carry a death sentence for him.
4. False hopes,deluded dupes.
