Stephanie ,   Israel   (09.11.08)
Poor little Rose.
2. Unbearable news
Talula ,   Israel   (09.11.08)
Not for the two evil bastards that call themselves her 'parents', not for the 'family - but for a little girl who didn't ask to be born to them. My heart is breaking that her life ended in such a vile and violent end. She wasn't born to die like that. Hang the 'parents' or take them into a field and shoot them - either is fine with me.
3. :(
Dorothy Friend ,   Tel Aviv   (09.11.08)
Dysfunctional family of the year. Did anyone who killed a child relative (I'm not asking child in general , because that's not the situation here) really get LIFE in prison? I hope they find the remains of the little girl in Florida who was probably killed by her mother, too.
4. What should be the punishment.....
Nora ,   Tel Aviv   (09.11.08)
...of such an evil act ? .......... For such a grandfather...such a mother.. Mind boggling.
5. DEATH PENALITY FOR THIS MONSTER !
David ,   Kfar-Saba   (09.11.08)
6. Name them Rose
Chaya ,   Bat Yam   (09.11.08)
Any daughters born now should be named Rose in her memory.
7. Rose
(09.11.08)
Poor little girl. May she now have a proper burial and rest in peace.
8. Poor Girl
Shlomo ,   Israel   (09.11.08)
Poor girl. Alai HaShalom. Kill the murderer of this poor child and also punish whoever else is responsible for this poor girls suffering in her short life. For those in prison, make the murders life hell, every day until he dies.
9. # 4 Mind boggling ?
Sagi ,   Israel   (09.11.08)
Not the act, the fact that they will get a sentence unworthy of the act. Our justice system is just as stupid as our political system. No teeth and no backbone.
10. Kill the Monsters : hang them high and let them rot
Yiannis Kareklas ,   Athens Greece   (09.11.08)
It breaks my heart to know that this little angel was murdered , victim of those monsters. Our society is sick to the bone . G-d punished Israel once for being Sodoma & Gomora. What's next ?
11. The Best, Worst...Again
Paula Stern   (09.11.08)
Rosa’s grandfather and mother show us the worst, but even in this tragedy, there is the best. The best is there in how we all kept hoping and didn’t even know what we were hoping for. Let her rest in peace as she never had in life, we thought sometimes. Let them at least find her. Maybe, in the best of moments, they didn’t kill her, they just lost her. Maybe someone has her. But that was never realistic and deep down we know she was brutally murdered by the one or ones she should have been able to trust. They failed her, but Israel did not. http://www.paulasays.com/articles/todays_realities/the_worst_the_best_again.html
12. #11 The worst thing is that
Talula ,   Israel   (09.11.08)
you tout your personal blog site here under this news item - I find that extremely distasteful. Another religious woman claiming to have a heart, who really has other motives.
13. May her dear soul rest in eternal peace
Liz   (09.11.08)
and may we now spend now more time, public money and resources on this couple of scum. Take their children into care, zip each one up into a body bag loaded with stones and drop them into the Yarkon or better still the Mediterranen.... I wish...
14. Why couldn't they just give her up?
shira z ,   J'slm, Israel   (09.11.08)
They didn't want her, why couldn't they relinquish custody? I know a beautiful couple who would have been so happy to welcome this poor little girl into their home... I know she had developmental problems, due to abuse and neglect, but the love and care they would have showered on her would have helped her develop into a normal, healthy child...
15. So sad!!
Ayman ,   Palestine   (09.11.08)
I was all time follwoing her story hoping that she would be found alive!! Very sad news!
16. Sad!
Moshe ,   Tel Aviv   (09.11.08)
What a decaying society we have become. Israel will meet its end not at the hands of the likes of Hezbollah, Iran and Hamas, but at the hands of our own immorality.
17. No. 3 Dorothy Friend
NYC Girl   (09.11.08)
So true. Sadly, there are tragic similarities between these two cases and, in all likelihood, the outcomes will be the same...an innocent child being murdered by the people who were supposed to love and protect her.

Israel   (09.11.08)
Well, how stupid are the police then.
19. # 12 are you some kind of nut?
Larry ,   zefat israel   (09.11.08)
you are using this column to bash the Religious/ I am not religious by the way but find you distateful.
20. child abusers
Donny ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (09.11.08)
I hope only that this horrible unthinkable tragedy makes the other child abusers out there get help right away.
21. Kill the barbarian who did it!
Avraham ,   NYC   (09.11.08)
22. he wont get the death penalty but......
ari   (09.11.08)
be sure that the inmates will rip his limbs off one by one. if the police have any brains they will intentionally NOT place him in solitary. that way he will get what he deserves
23. 19
Yuval ,   Kfar Vitkin   (09.11.08)
Talula is right - it is in bad taste.
24. ?
yeled ,   israel   (09.11.08)
what is the connection between the fathers sister and husband who were murdered about a month ago in the north, did they already know too much? what is really going on..
25. Death Penalty in Israel
Jared ,   New York, USA   (09.11.08)
How can a society not justify having a death penalty for the worst-of-the-worst murderers after watching this? The only way to truly show as a society how much we value Rose's life--or any life, for that matter--is to take the life of the man who killed her. Ronny Ron won't look so smug and amused when he's being strapped to a chair and having a needle shoved in his arm.... But of course, if terrorists responsible for planning operations that kill 20 Jews don't get the death penalty, neither will a guy who "just" killed a kid.
26. Yuval - did you even read the article
Paula Stern   (09.11.08)
before agreeing? The article is completely relevant and I was hoping that people would find a seed of hope in a horrible, terrible situation - but hey, don't let that stop you all. FWIW, despite being a religious woman and despite your clear biases, I agree with those who hope this man is punished to the ends of this life and in the next.

Yuval ,   Kfar Vitkin   (09.11.08)
Yes i read the article in its entirety. we all have our own thoughts about this and we're all shocked. we all deal with terrible thing in our own way - i don't think we need to read your blog to put things into perspective for us - so again, i agree with Talula - not always - but this time she's right - it is in bad taste.
28. Rose
Marilyn ,   USA   (09.11.08)
I'm really sorry to hear this. It's one thing to have someone say that they did it and know it in a way, but it's another to have found her. It perhaps will be the same way when they find little Caylee.
29. #12 who are you to knock religious?
lea ,   sherman oaks ca usa   (09.11.08)
and why are you sterotyping them? I found #11's articals only telling the truth,in fact bookmarked it..Was not personal per se but something ALL Jews/Israelis should read.. That said, may little Rose have peace & be in Gan Eden after our Moshiac arrives.. Am Israel Chai

Paula   (09.11.08)
I guess that would depend on why I posted it. Since I didn't post it to promote my blog but to share what I discovered many years ago when Hodaya was murdered...I thought it would bring comfort. You don't agree, fine - but that's a far cry from condemning me for poor taste or assuming my intentions. If I wasn't "religious," I can't help but wonder if Talula would have bothered - I've seen many other references to other people's writings here and elsewhere. It's an accepted Internet practice. You don't like it, fine. You don't want to read it. Fine - but it's an opinion and I"m entitled to it. I didn't write - READ MY BLOG. I wrote - there are terrible things that have happened and this is one way to maybe find something positive. There are a lot of people hurting in Israel today, wishing things had ended so differently. That was (and remains) my point. I apologize if people thought I was trying to grab traffic. Honestly, the site gets over 100,000 hits per month...I didn't really even think about adding a few more hits.
