I would like to comment on this opinion. I do Holocaust Tracing and reunite families for a very big NGO and I am making Aliyah in about a month, I agree with this, Jews all over th world have become comfortable again and forgot all the atrocities that can happen to them on any given day, even in the US. Why has the new generations in Israel forgotten all the blood shed over the concept of the State?? It truely scares me. . . . .

Open your eyes and realize (hopefully) that all nations are under the spell of mr S. We need to remember that the first person ever born in the world, Kain, back in Genesis, killed his own brother Abel. The Good Book says that the heart of men is deceitful and desperately wicked. What has this , that they are'nt Jewish or were not raised here , to do with the crime ? Do you think that only non Jews or people raised abroad can murder in Israel ? The Child welfare system can only intervene when they have knowledge of acts against children . They can be alerted by school , doctor , neighboors or family . If nobody did it , how could they know ?

KKK? Rarely. They are a small group of rural racists--not what they were in the 1950s, if that's what your popular conception of them is--and they mostly operate against blacks in rural backwaters. Anti-Semitic acts? I'm sure there are. But you're missing the point. The writer to whom I was responding spoke of "atrocities" against American Jews. Racist graffiti on a synagogue or verbal intimidation by Muslims on college campuses are not "atrocities" against Jews. Atrocities against Jews are what the Arabs do to them in Israel: killing them with bulldozers and in yeshivas and Gaza perimeter towns. Getting called a bad word is not an anti-Jewish "atrocity." Poor choice of words. Poor argument.

What is bringing the spirit of murder here is whats coming in from OUT SIDE of Israel. Not from sabra's, or from God fearers. We've had terrorists FROM OUTSIDE our boarders, gang murders between immigrants, and as far as violence in the schools, look to American films and MTV. We are no longer "seperated" from the world as we were commanded to be and the world is effecting us with its evil.

The child, as far as we know, was not raped by any 1st degree blood relative. You are referring to incest in the Biblical sense (Father in Law and Daughter in Law) which is not part of normal civil law.

Israelis have had so much practice murdering Palestinians that they have perfected the art. They have come to enjoy it.

Get real, Isreal was there long before the Palestinians were, read the Bible and you would see that! You need to get real, as with Isreal. Isreal is coming to the day where they will repent of their sins. They will deny this with all their soul, but that day is coming real soon. Their actions will be judged, as will ours.

Think of all the various psycho killer movies put out by Hollywood. Or the violent computer games. Ditto TV. While most of us have sufficient grasp on reality to keep fact and fantasy separate; there are those among us with faulty borders, who sometimes mix up the two. Just the fact of being Jewish does not exempt you from this.

Let me clarify. . .I am an Iranian Jew that lives in Los Angeles. . . I left Iran when I was 7 y/o. Never in a million years did my family, that had lived in Iran for hundreds of generations, think that they would leave their country and never return again. There have been no atrociities to Jews in the US, however i think it would be ignorant to think that it can NEVER happen.

Some of the world's most notorious killers lived before the internet, before the movies, and when a large % of the population was illiterate. Does the name Jack the Ripper ring a bell?
