Various countries have adopted their own limited sanctions, the UN has authorised some minor sanctions but anything thats to harsh Russia or China will veto in the Security Council. The only viable solution is military action taken by the Americans who have the ability to destroy Irans entire nuclear program and at the same time take out most their abilities to retaliate by sinking their ships, bombing their airfields and taking out missles lanch sites so they are the only ones who can do anything about this problem if not Iran will get nukes. Its also in Americas strategic interests to stop Iran now while it has the chance. Iranian missiles can currently hit Amrican bases in the Gulf and large parts of Europe but they are continuing the develop their missile program & even talk about putting men in space and for that you need ICBM technology. One day America might find itself facing off with Iranian neuclear ICBMS because its short sigthed government didnt have the will to stop Iran while they had a chance so it wont just be Israel threatened by Iranian nukes it will be mainland America.
