"If a Jewish settler goes on a rampage against a bunch of Palestinian children, he deserves a few years of incarceration. " The operative word being 'If" since that doesn't happen. "When an Arab Israeli does something admittedly much less reprehensible, his FAMILY (not him, mind you) deserves to be deported, uprooted and stripped of citizenship???" How is a man actually driving into a group of innocent people less reprehesible than your mere "what-if" scenario? Talkiabout bigotry.
32. Deport his immediate family to Gaza!
C-Low ,   US   (09.23.08)
The only way to stop such acts is hit them were it hurts as punishment. Arabs family/blood is extremely important. Terrorist acts should result in deportation of the attackers immediate family. You would then not only have the family motivated to dissuade the young Jihadi from doing something stupid, but he would also know his actions would bring heavy strife and economic whoa to his family. In Arab culture to do that to your family is dishonorable. Israel better grow a pair of balls and soon. The years of pansy Olmert and Israeli leadership more worried about world opinion warm fuzzies than their own peoples safety has embolden/empowered the radicals of the enemy.

37. damage caused by the demolitions overrides its effectiveness
observer   (09.23.08)
as of June 2007 more than 14 000 Palestinian houses have been demolished in the occupied territory including East Jerusalem since 1967. houses are blown up by the Israeli army, frequently resulting in neighbouring houses also being destroyed or damaged. The military committee of 2005 found no proof of effective deterrence and concluded that the damage caused by the demolitions overrides its effectiveness After all, they were Hezbullah. Martyrs of Imad Mughniyah and Gaza has claimed responsibility. Hamas has denied involvement. The body of the yeshiva attacker was- according to his will- wrapped in Hezbullah flag before burial. But Israel is averting Hezbullah's challenge by throwing responsibility on Palestinians; it's much easy that way.
