32. Xn Deniers of Misojudaism Self-Made Ignorami
Paqid Yirmeyahu ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (09.28.08)
First, I checked Mendel's quotation. It is correct according to all of the earliest extant source manuscripts up through the 4th century C.E. Those who doubt it cannot read your own NT -- which is no surprise. Not one Christian in a thousand has any idea what the original NT is, how it evolved, nor when it was written, nor even by whom. The Interpreter's Dictionary of the Bible concedes that there are tens of thousands of redactions by post-135 C.E. Christian "fathers." Well, I have news for you. They were Romans, Hellenist idolaters, the very same ones who crucified the first-century, Torah-teaching, Pharisee Ribi. Your NT is the product of post-135 C.E. Roman Hellenist idolaters, who were the first and original Christians. I'm a former Baptist preacher who has translated the ENTIRE NT from ALL of the earliest extant source mss. up through the 4th century C.E. and all of the Hebrew traditions up through the Even Bokhan--and published the relevant results in The Netzarim Reconstruction of Hebrew Matityahu (NHM) and several other books. Before the forcible expulsion by the Hellenist Roman gentiles in 135 C.E. the Netzarim (corrupted by gentile Hellenists to "Nazarenes") were a strictly Torah-practicing group. Your own Church historian documented that when the Romans expelled the 15th Netzarim Paqid, Yehudah ha-Tzadiq, they DISPLACED him with the first gentile "bishop," Markus. This same Church historian also documented that it wasn't until the 3rd-century C.E. that your Church Father, Hegesippus, "fabricated" an imaginary line of "bishops" back to Rome--and for the first time called them popes. Then, it was another century before the first NTs show up, the idolatrous festival for the sun-god's birthday (Dec. 25th) is adopted as Christmas, the idolatrous festival for Ishtar is adopted as Easter, etc. It's all documented in the History Museum pages of our website for anyone willing to confront the facts and deal with them. Those of you who deny the misojudaism inherent in your NT are plain fools who don't bother to educate yourselves. Read the authoritative book by the late Oxford historian-scholar (who happened to also be a Christian minister): The Conflict of the Church and the Synagogue -- BEFORE you run off at the keyboard making your ignorance conspicuous to everyone with an education. 33. Education don't accually make you smart...just arrogont
DANNY ,   America   (09.28.08)
The sources you speak of are not in my Bible. Sorry I read my Bible and it did not produce hate for the Jews. But love for His chosen people. I think maybe the reasons for Christians wanting you to accept Jesus is because of who he really is. whether you do are not is your Bizz. Trying to prove I really haven't met the living God makes you foolish. (JMK) poor guy or girl... You see, foolishness is BAD.
34. 4 Avi: One root of Xtian anti-semitism was from Damasus...
Rivkah   (09.28.08)
a non-Christian pope who had his thugs slaughter many of the bishops who gathered to elect a pope nearly 300 years after Yehoshua walked the earth. The bishops that were left alive voted for Damasus to survive. Damasus changed the Sabbath to Sunday and introduced polytheism by adding verses to the text of the Christian Bible that said father, son and holy spirit are one. Any good reference Bible admits that in the footnotes. Damasus also persecuted Christians and Jews who kept the Saturday Sabbath and refused to change to the Sunday. It was an old trick for Satan, the devil, since his devices work so well there is no need for change. Changing the Sabbath to Sunday was done by King Jeroboam of a ten tribe Israel after the split over taxes from Judah long ago. It is called the eighth day in the bible, but is the first day (Sunday) since there are only seven days in a week.
35. #11 Matthew
David ,   USA   (09.28.08)
Matthew, what you say is correct. I know that and you know that and many others know that. However, how do you expect the Jewish people who have only their history to go by to know that? Remember the Roman Catholic Inquisitions? Have you read up on the teachings of Martin Luther lately? How can you, I, or anyone else expect the Jewish people to not be suspecious when we suddenly in our generation start saying, "we love you?" For hundreds of years the "religion" called Christianity has persecuted the Jews. Through that time there have been many "true" not "religious" Christians who have truly loved the Jews, but, still the few do not show up in the history books. If we want the Jewish people to know we love them, we must keep loving them, not in word only, but in deed whether they love us back or not. That is what real love is. If we do that, then maybe in a few hundred years we may convince them. If you know anything about Bible prophecy, you know that we will eventually be rejoined with our brother Yhudi. They didn't recognize Yoseph either, until he revealed his true Hebrew identity. If you are truly grafted into the Olive Tree, Israel Matthew then love in deed not in word. There is a day coming soon when we may be ask to join them in Eretz Israel and take up arms against Esav and shed our blood along side of them to protect their heritage. That is love Matthew. Are you willing to do that? I am!
36. 11 & 35 READ 32 BEFORE your vacuous platitudes

Christians who have read Parkes' book will be taken a lot more seriously.
37. #36 Who ever you are
David ,   USA   (09.28.08)
What makes you an expert? How can anyone take you seriously if you are afraid to identify yourself. My platitudes as you call them are based on many many years of research, study and prayer. Your post said absolutely nothing. Why should I purchase and read a book I know nothing about on the recommendation of someone who will not even identify themselves and give their credentials or even a hint of what the book contains?

David ,   USA   (09.28.08)
I believe you both to be the same person. I have read much of your writings Paqid and while I have found a lot of truth in your webpage writings, I also find you to be insulting and pompus. You claim to know who Mashiach is, however, you have none of His spiritual qualities. How can you expect people to take you seriously when you call them ignoramis? I have news for you paqud. You don't possess all truth. You are just another man. A baptist preacher turned apostate from your Mashiach.
39. Mendel
Marilyn ,   USA   (09.28.08)
In this passage it concerns Jesus's second coming. We have the suffering servant and conquering King. When the conquering King comes it is when world needs him most. It is perhaps a sensitive subject because it involves violence, however the world is in such bad shape by then, that there needs to be a definite strong authority to put it all straight. It is a message to get ready.

This is not an inherently anti-Jewish parable. I went and read an original translation from the oldest sources. This parbale basically instructs the killing of traitors to the noble man, and rewards to the industrious. The story is, however, misunderstood here. The scripture is not saying that only those who are industrious and failthful will prosper "in this life"; which is what it seems to be saying. However, elsewhere, Jesus says that some are rewarded in life and some are rewarded in afterlife. This is not refering to Jews, almost everyone Jesus talks to and about is Jewish, including Jesus and every single one of his disciples. I agree that the Romans hijacked Christianity from the Jewish sect that started it and made Christianity into a patriarchial (anti-semitic) religon when it was not originally, and is not truly, that way. But, the majority of added stuff is in the form of Church dogma and not in the contents of the scriptures. It was Roman Catholic Priests who accused Jews of killing Jesus, not the scriptures. I hasten to add, however, that all religons have been used as an excuse to justify slaughtering the other, in modern times, as well.
43. #11 is right; #35 is totally wrong
Tom ,   Minnesota, USA   (09.28.08)
#11: You're right. Beautifully said. #35: You need to change your tone, get back into God's word, and stop slandering fellow Christians. Matthew made no mention of deeds, which means we can make no judgment of his view of deeds, until you ask him kindly. Also, Jesus said that HIS word is truth. Man's word, therefore, is not. Words DO come first, followed by actions. I know many non-Christians who are kind but are not saved. If you simply judge deeds outside of God's Word, you are basing your judgment on mysticism...on feelings. You must judge the things of this world against God's Word. Jesus commanded us to lovingly preach the Gospel within its proper bad-news context...even if the message is hated by those who hear it.
44. Messiah will execute judgment, as did Moses
Dani"El Ben Judah ,   SF USA   (09.29.08)
Messiah Yeshua will execute the same judgment against the rebels as Moses did. As it is written- Eze 20:33 As I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out, will I rule over you: Eze 20:34 And I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out. Eze 20:35 And I will bring you into the wilderness of the people, and there will I plead with you face to face. Eze 20:36 Like as I pleaded with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I plead with you, saith the Lord GOD. Eze 20:37 And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant: Eze 20:38 And I will purge out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against me: I will bring them forth out of the country where they sojourn, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

46. 37 & 38 Please educate yourself to Xn history
Paqid Yirmeyahu ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (09.29.08)
Pointing out ignorance to a person who pontificates without knowing the subject matter and what he or she is talking about -- the real arrogance here -- is a point of fact that the other readers deserve to be aware of. Such statement of fact is NOT pompous (learn to spell while you're at it). Nor am I going to carry on an argument with someone who intransigently refuses to educate himself. I'm merely letting other readers be aware of your shortcomings -- which are conspicuous. "David USA" is NOT identifying yourself. People afraid to identify themselves yet criticizing others who do identify themselves are, uh, ignorant AND hypocritical. Why don't you identify yourself? LOL If you would learn to read you might recognize that my signature block is beneath the admonishment to read Parkes' book (#32); and I am not anonymous; YOU are, David whomever from wherever city in whatever state! Nor do you have the first clue about the "spiritual qualities" of the first-century Pharisee Ribi who taught Torah. Rather, your "spiritual qualities" are those of the post-135 C.E. idolatrous Hellenist Roman Christians--which is what you are! It's blasphemous, in fact, to ascribe the latter to a Pharisee Ribi Torah-teacher, as every Christian does. Zechariah 3.3 describes the Christian cloaking of the Pharisee Ribi Torah-teaching Mashiakh in בגדים צואים (feculent clothes) of Hellenist Roman idolatry. Your pontifications are NOT based on many years of research in the area of Christian origins OR anti-semitism -- which is the topic under discussion here that you've been running off at the keyboard about as if you know the subject. If you did know the subject, you would know what Parkes book is about since it's the classic authoritative work, by an Oxford scholar-historian, on the origins of Christian antisemitism. You don't know the literature or the subject matter. Read Parkes' book and get over your ignorance. When you have translated the entire NT from the earliest extant mss. and can read the Bible in its original Hebrew and Aramaic AND absorbed the literature in the field THEN you can talk to me about what makes me an expert. If you REALLY want to avoid being "insulted" then remedy your ignorance and, if you continue to adamantly refuse educating yourself, at least don't run off at the keyboard in a forum where people know better. Christians willing to educate themselves with an open mind about documented historical fact and Torah are friends of Israel and Jews. I encourage Christians to gravitate to this category of Christian. By contrast, Christians who intransigently refuse to educate themselves with an open mind about documented historical fact and Torah are intrinsically and dangerously misojudaic and Jews must be able to discern and discriminate. It's called havdalah, which encompasses far more than the ritual. This is essentially what Rabbi Brackman was conveying--and which blinkered Christians like you cannot hear because your ears are stopped and you REFUSE to see, hear and educate yourself. Change that if you wish to find spiritual life. 47. Christians true friends?
Deborah Potter ,   Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA   (09.29.08)
Hello Rabbi Brackman I was thrilled to read your article regarding the afternoon you spent with members of my Christian family. I am so glad it was a blessing to you. It always makes me feel good when I hear that we have treated our Jewish friends with the love and respect they deserve. If you ever have the opportunity to come to Tulsa, please come visit us at Carbondale Assembly of God. It would be our honor to have you.
48. #46 Paqid
David ,   USA   (09.30.08)
Paqid, read your number 36 and you will find you did not identify yourself. In what further way would you like me to identify myself? I have no fear of you knowing who I am. Please identify in my talkbacks the areas or statements that show I am uneducated in Christian history. Please tell me what gives you the impression I am a Christian. I happen to be Messianic. What do you know of my years of study and what I may know. Show me in what I have written where my error is. Yes, I make a spelling error occasionally. I have yet to reach your level of perfection. forgive me. I would be glad to communicate with you in a proper tone and fashion anytime you wish. If your insulting fashion is all you know however, I don't believe there is anything you can teach me. My Messiah said we are to love one another. I don't feel especially loved by you so why shouldn't I believe you are my enemy who wishes to destroy me spiritually? You may be surprised what my 60 years of studies have taught me. I am not a follower of church fathers. I am a Natzrim. A disciple of Yahoshua HaMashiach. His Ruach HaKodesh fills my soul with love for all men. Forgive me for saying you are pompous. That is the way you come across to me. I should not have said that.
49. irony of ironies!
Chris_B ,   Tokyo, Japan   (10.03.08)
Why oh why the inconsistencies and double standards between the words "Goyim" and "gentiles"? Doesnt everyone know by now that "Goyim" is considered a slur when any non Jew hears it? I know enough to know the literal meaning but every time I see it, it sounds like its being spat out like a curse. Part of me laughs every time I see this kind of thing, part of me wants to throw up a little bit. What makes it even funnier is the top of this comment window forbids "incitement, slander, racist slurs and inappropriate language". Its OK for Rabbi Brackman to use slurs, but not for us commenters.

51. Way to Reject your staunchest allies!
Jim ,   Washington DC   (11.05.08)
I find this article to be quite ridiculous! Christians in the USA are some of Israel's staunchest allies---moreso than many Jewish people here. Jesus and his disciples were themselves Jews, which the New Testament states obviously. Ask yourself: would they really advocate the killing of Jews, seeing as they are Jews themselves. Obviously not!! And obviously, the NT does not condone killing/hatred towards Jews. It just would not make any sense. If I did not just convince you, than man, what a waste of my time.
52. Missionaries in disguise
Simcha ,   Israel   (01.21.09)
There are Christians who care for Jews with no ulterior motive. However, there are Christians who hope to convert Jews. For example, just watch the Christian television network Daystar. They love Jews, sing and dance in Hebrew, donate money to Israel and other Jewish causes, etc. But every once in awile, they mention bringing the gospel to the Jews while aiding them. So this is their hidden motive. I'm always wary about them.
53. Are Christians Friends of Jews?
LaDonna Cook ,   Roscommon, Mi. USA   (04.08.09)
I certainly am. We are told to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and true Christians do that. While I have accepted Jesus as my Messiah, I don't look down on God's chosen people. You are the apple of His eye.
