1. Obama's VP said Israel will need to accept a nuclear Iran

2. An Israeli Live-Blogging the Presidential Debate
Benji ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (09.27.08)
A humorous take on the debate: http://www.whatwarzone.com/2008/09/israeli-live-blogging-presidential.html
3. American Jews: we must keep voting for Democrats
Joe the American Jew   (09.27.08)
Even if they do want to pussyfoot around with the new Hitler - we must retain our right to chop to bits our own offspring while still in the womb
4. Iran will have a nuclear bomb next year.
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (09.27.08)
There is no doubt that Iran is the greatest national security threat to the state of Israel. Two nuclear bombs would destroy Israel. Given the overwhelming amount of evidence, anyone who doubts that Iran is actively seeking technology to build nuclear weapons is simply delusional. Those who believe the Iranian regime is willing to forgo what it sees as the divinely inspired mission of eliminating Israel are, at best, dangerously naïve. Those who think Iranian leaders are more worried about survival than reaching paradise and attaining Islam’s ultimate victory, are not listening with open ears. All too many Westerners fall prey to the soft bigotry that presumes men like Ahmadinejad are incapable of saying what they mean and meaning what they say. The West should wake up: http://xrl.us/bj3ri
5. I felt that McCain won the debate. I can only hope the
Rivkah   (09.27.08)
American people agree and that the elections are honest. But Hal Lindsey said the mafia owns the voting machines and determines who is elected. I hope he is wrong and that electronic voting machines are not used that can be tampered with. The part of the debate that upset me was the discussion of Afganistan. No one told the truth. The truth is that under the Taliban, opium poppy crops were banned. Since the invasion of Afganistan, that country is back to being the top world producer of heroin. Did America go to Afganistan to open up the opium market that was shut down? Did America go to Afganistan to bomb a strait line for an oil pipeline from the Southern Russian Republics that the Taliban would not allow? I hope Afganistan was invaded for the right reasons, for America to have bases east of Iran to subdue Iran if that becomes necessary since that has been such a dangerous country to the world in its support of terrorism and attack on the US Embassy which was an act of war. Iran declared a de facto war by attacking the US Embassy and insisting on a billion dollars for each hostage that was released during the Carter Administration. That is more likely the reason for American bases in Iraq, Afganistan, and the "former" Southern Russian Republics. The candidates did not seem to be aware of these factors. Maybe I should be a President's advisor since I seem to know more than they do.
6. Nobama calls for change, yet he agreed 8 times with McCain.
Nobama saw a real ,   pres. @ work!!!!!   (09.27.08)
7. #5 Obama said that we should lose in Iran so we can win in
Afghanistan.He just ,   doesn't get it.   (09.27.08)
8. Joe
Yaron ,   USA   (09.27.08)
Well said...American Jews who tow the Democratic line are the problem. While it would be great if we were dealing with the Swiss or the Belgians...unfortunately we are not. The Arabs do not wish to have peace with Israel as they achieved far more with the false hope of peace than they ever achieved during war. They have figured out how to manipulate the system and how to reach the hearts and minds of those who are not informed....which seems to be a whole lot of people these days! May the Monkey of Teheran come to his senses!!!
9. 7: Yep. Obama is a vacuous person without teleprompters.
Rivkah   (09.27.08)
10. After the debate, Kissinger said McCain was right
Sue ,   Los Angeles   (09.27.08)
“Senator McCain is right,” said Kissinger. “I would not recommend the next President of the United States engage in talks with Iran at the Presidential level. My views on this issue are entirely compatible with the views of my friend Senator John McCain. We do not agree on everything, but we do agree that any negotiations with Iran must be geared to reality.”
11. #7: you misquoted the man, he said "Iraq" not "Iran"
voter ,   usa   (09.28.08)
pay attention better next time to avoid misrepresenting the candidates' remarks. Thanks.
12. Rivkah, if Obama is a "vacuous" person then
voter ,   usa   (09.28.08)
compared to him, you are positively a black hole. Why don't you stick to your witless ravings about so-called biblical prophecy; they are much more entertaining then your inane observations about politics.
13. 7: Obama also called John McCain "Jim" a number of times.
Rivkah   (09.28.08)
The moderator was Jim Lehrer, but Obama was clearly speaking to McCain, calling him Jim in what has to be a subconscious hostility toward Senator McCain.
14. Kissinger retracted what originally said
charicleia ,   USA   (09.28.08)
Obama quoted Kissinger accurately. now Kissinger says he didn't say it. Oy. McCain can never bring peace to Israel: and once a man of integrity, he has become a mendacious personality, wanting to win at all costs, no matter what. the US public is on to him. watch the polls. (and let's not even speak of his judgment on his VP choice).
15. Obama is going to win
voter ,   usa   (09.28.08)
and Israel will be JUST FINE. So Israeli rightwingers: Stop yer kvetching!
