If you are going to look at the death tally as your criterion for judging barbarism, then the 2,000 Lebanese murdered by Israel in the recent bombing/invasion escapade is on a much deeper scale, the sowing of a few million cluster bomblets is also on a much deeper scale, and the uprooting of hundreds of thousands of indigenous Palestinians also overshadows this one act of terror in the Syrian capital.
