Israel is literally handcuffed by the U.S. and unable to make a move without permission. Great. So when things get bad here, the U.S. will pull its forces out and leave Israel to take the heat. Not a great arrangement. Israel needs to say no to U.S. aid, monetary or military. If we can't stand on our own too feet, then we don't deserve a country.

It is all nice and dandy for our american friends to deploy a radar in Israel. Any rocket flying 1700km from Iran will be detected in the last 100-200 km or so, leaving a minute or two for countermeasures. Some protection.
Meanwhile, the new "pro-western" government in Bagdad would happily let westbound rockets fly over Iraq. If they want to jail a parlamentarian for as much as visiting Irasel, then they surely won't agree to have an early warning station where it is needed most - at the iranian border.
I hope I'm wrong, and there is still an early warning station at the border of Iraq and Iran. Perhaps they just don't want the "arab street" to know, for fear of that "peace-loving" crowd.
