I saw the "great shlepp" ad and I thought that part of it was a great idea. The part about a whole lot of young-ish Jews from the north coming to South Florida to visit is great. I'm sure the girls will be far cuter than Sarah Silverman and that the guys will be nice enough to keep those cheek pinching, blue haired, partisans of the early bird special buzzing well beyond 7:30pm. Many of the younger generation of Jews that grew up in South Florida had grandparents that trained here, fought in WWII, and who returned to settle after the war in search of, among other things, a less politically charged climate than that of the North East. Even though the State of Florida is home to the 2nd largest Jewish community outside of New York, most of whom are below retirement age, its always the same crowd from Century Village in Deerfield Beach that are treated like king makers.
