1. Israel a cardboard country
Barbara ,   Haifa   (10.05.08)
Message to Nasrallah and Hizballah: We might seem to you and in the news to be having ian nternal political mess - BUT - watch how we all fall in line and UNITE for survival against evil......
2. I BELIEVE THE GENERAL: NEXT TIME WILL BE DIFFERENT

PSALMS 83
4. Shiite cowards
Septimus ,   Rome   (10.05.08)
One of the difference between Israelis and theShiites is that Shiites like to bark fantasy trash talks, but when it comes to acts, tehy can only react like cowards, by taking hostages, killing civilians, cutting people in pieces and trading them. That is the weak and dirty face of Shiites today. this is because they are so primitive and so weak that they will soon be erased from the pages of times. Shiite sare doomed whetever they are in lebanon, or in teir icked Shiite entity. Both are dead men walking
5. We all know there will be no "disproportionate attacks"
Danny   (10.05.08)
because after the first mild bombing the world will start screaming and our leaders who care more about other people calling them names than Israeli lives will pull back. Not that it will stop people claiming it is "disproportionate" anyway, just now they have our idiot general's words to quote.
6. Nonsense from Lebanon
guy ,   los angeles   (10.05.08)
Why bother to report propaganda from Hizbollah? Their total contribution to humankind ( as in medical research) is hmm ,zero, and in Israel it's through the roof...yes dribble about "jihad" is all that they have to offer...
7. They can't even understand logically
Thunder   (10.05.08)
Again stupid analysis by the Shiite ennemy. If they believe that olmert's political problems will stop a impending Israeli raid against Iran they are dead wrong. Similary, any attack from Lebanon will be answere by a rain of death on all the Shiite villages making from hezbolland a waste land and making from Shiites a dead bacteria
8. #7 at this moment,they are right
Mathew   (10.05.08)
Israel won´t dare to attack Iran or Lebanon. They are right.
9. What a laugh, bunker boy.
(10.05.08)
10. Eisenkot
(10.05.08)
Eisenkot said tough words but Israel has a history tough words followed by wimpy action. Hezbollah remembers Sharon, Olmer, Livni and Barak tough talk about Kassams after the ethnic cleansing of Gush Katif, the reaction to Shalit's captivity and the reaction if Fatah turned its guns against Israel. Eisenkot should learn that "when you're going to shoot, shoot, dont talk"
11. Boasting from the Bunker
Shalom Freedman ,   Jerusalem Israel   (10.05.08)
That wonderful Middle- Eastern quality of boasting and bragging and threatening is well-exemplified by Mr.Nasrallah. He did stick his head out to greet a person of comparable moral quality, Samar Kuntar, but as I understand it he is very wary of sticking his head out too often, and too openly. Now what kind of brave hero is that, that threatens with his head under the pillow?
12. Israel must be strong and have defensible borders.
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (10.05.08)
A strong Israel is a vital asset to the free world and America. To be a strong and dependable friend in a 'rough neighborhood', Israel must have defensible borders and military prowess capable of addressing multiple challenges which can materialize suddenly in this unstable region. The conflict between Palestinian Arabs and Israelis is not the only adversary Israel faces. Historically, anti-Zionism has been the glue behind Arab nationalism. It has provided a convenient scapegoat for deflecting Arab states' frustration over unsolved domestic problems, but it also stems from a deep innate intolerance that exists throughout the Muslim world to any non-Muslim presence. 13. HOT AIR
DAVID ,   JUDEA   (10.05.08)
There was a time when Israeli generals , would not talk , but focus , fight and win wars , which is their duty. Nowadays everyone wants their 15 minutes of fame and has turned into mediawhores , just making fools of themselves with big words and little action. Instead of giving interviews blowing hot air , he should spend his time with his soldiers in the field and boost moral and efficiency. When the next war starts ,not if , it will not be a walk in the park. The problem is that Israeli arrogance stands in the way of clear thinking and decisive action.
14. #5 There will be no mild bombing

15. Hardboard not cardboard
steve ,   london, england   (10.05.08)
Hezbollah as a SATANIC STATE. There is almost no difference between them and Hitler's SS. Everyone should believe Eisenkot when he warns Hezbollah against the calamity they would bring upon Lebanon if Israel is provoked into military violence against them. That is not a disproportionate warning. It is a competently calculated assertion of what will be required of the IDF to defeat Hezbollah. Put attention to this. Ever since the last Lebanon war diplomats from all around the world have met to talk about arriving at compromises to bring peace into the towns and villages of the Middle East. Only Hezbollah and Hamas stand in opposition to a lasting peace. Why? Because they want everybody to practice their brand of Islamic Fundamentalism. It is not going to happen. The vast majority of Arabs and muslims in the wider world are opposed to the kind of fundamentalism advocated by Hezbollah and Hamas. They know they cannot survive in the arab world. So they make war against Israel instead in order to deceive Arabs everywhere into believing they are campaigning for noble Palestinian causes. They will not be winning an Nobel prizes. Provoke Israel to war and Eisenkot's warning will be proved expedient. Everybody in Israel dreads having to go to war against Hezbollah. Not out of fear for ourselves but out of a fear for the death and destruction the IDF would have to inflict. If Hezbollah will not abandon armed struggle and the practice of war they must face the death penalty. A penalty Allah (Ha Shem Adonai) (The Lord of Hosts) will inflict on them in the form of the State of Israel exercising its right of self defense.
16. In 1966 we had weak political & military leadership mister
Moshe   (10.05.08)
17. "Israelis"
Wissam ,   Lebanon   (10.05.08)
Most of your comments remind me of the Arab countries in the 70's and 80's allot of defiance and bla bla bla. To tell you the truth this behavior relaxes me. The funny part is that all this muscle flexing from talk backers and from that funny looking general of yours is towards Hezbullah, which is not even a country, and your so proud of yourselves:-) Pathetic!! You want to threaten us!? BRING IT ON!!!!!!!!!
18. #17 Woossam - Hizb'allah is ruining your country!
bye bye laughing boy   (10.05.08)
You call us pathetic? That's good; Iranian armed thugs are brinnging your puppet-country to it's doom? I hope you are ready, Woossam.
19. # 17 Hizbollah is Lebanon
Bill ,   US   (10.05.08)
and don't say bring it on, unless you like you watching your president crying to the world for aid and protection.
20. hizbulah's tail was kicked around lebanon by cardboard state
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (10.05.08)
how embarrassing.
21. Thanks so much Hezb
Gaby ,   Montreal   (10.05.08)
One thing for sure is that hezb is reading and understanding very well hebrew langage newspaper. It seems to me that they have a high interest in israeli politics. But also it seems that they are limited as to read between the lines.... They fail to understand that the next war they will be wiped out on the face of this earth. The people who will likely suffer so dearly will be lebanese and lebanon will become a shadow of itself. turning the clock back 30 years, suit them pretty well. So what IDF say is`next time around... and I hope very very soon, they will tighten the screws pretty hard... thats the essence of the message that Kaouk fail to grasp. As for Israel, hezb is just no match. We all know what happened to arabs who wanted to throw jews to the sea. Thank u so much Hezb, who reading those lines, to unite once again the israeli society and the jews worldwide. We owe you one and will keep our promises as usual.
22. Hereby time is for peace
Lutfi ,   Orhangazi,Turkey   (10.05.08)
Who have more power isn't important. Humanity more do not spent effort for war. World research must be use for peace.Keep situation and carry to good on the region. Otherwise all to be looser. All think for war and terror must forget. Trade with Israel and region to be conlude all enemies and peace will come. If leaders of region seriosly trust mutually then everythink to be easy for peace devolopment. If you want to change future ,firstly you must change your thing.
23. The hype and the reality
Paul ,   Tuval Israel   (10.05.08)
A cardboard State which lost the 2nd Lebanon war? Funny, within 2 months after the war, there was very little that one could see that a war even happened in this "cardboard" state, while today, over 2 years later, the "great victors" still have to maneuvre around the rubble and destruction in Southern Lebanon and the Dahia suburb, which are still to be rebuilt. The "victors" lost over 1200 casualties, while the "defeated cardboard state" lost 170, over 1/2 of which were civilians from rocket fire. The "victors" virtually begged the UN to intervene and their PM cried in public, while the "defeated" had to be held back from continuing the fight. Talk about a Pyrrhic "victory"!
24. TO WISSAM
HERTZEL ,   TIBERIAS, Israel   (10.05.08)
COME ON, COME ON,,,YOUR "ARMY" IS NOT CAPABLE OF FIGHTING FLEES IN A CAMP AS WAS SHAWN 6 MONTHS AGO. YOU BETTER LOOK FOR 2 MILLIONS REFUGEES IN NORTH LEBANON NEXT TIME AROUND, MOE-RON!
25. We use Arab cardboard cutouts as well as Persian cutouts
Steven Wilson ,   Anchorage, Alaska   (10.05.08)
in our board games in the United States. We even use them in our video games. They are the ones we always shoot .....before they blow themselves up for their nutty cult religion.
26. Nasrallah, Hiz bull.....t
chop-chop   (10.05.08)
To # 15, Steve from London. THINK ! In your 2nd paragraph-----If the vast majority of arabs were opposed to fundamentalism, there would be no fundamentalism. And there is, thanks to the $ billions provided to them by the wast majority the world over. Eisenkot's bravado? a Nasrallahn "KopyKat". He is a big fellow with a big mouth to match that should be used to get his men in A1 shape, period. If and when positive results do surface at the next round,( we will know after 1 day ), he then can "Shvitz" all he wants. As of now, we have enough blabbermouths in Jerusalem who get paid plenty to open WIDE.........!!
27. food war as a start
observer   (10.05.08)
Attempting to pass Hummus, Falafel, Tabbula, Fatoush, and Kabobs as Israeli food is more than just a bad joke. Lebanon has started legal procedures to sue Israel. Greece has already won the war of Feta Cheese and the EU parliament has accredited it as Greek food with its trade mark solely owned by Greece.
28. #1 UNITE for survival against evil
(10.06.08)
united to kick out Olmert. But, you unite to support Nasrallah.
