A Jerusalemite ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (10.08.08)
Well worth reading. I am forwarding it to all my friends. Thanks.
32. Sorry , but...
Abdel Karim Salim ,   Jerusalem -ISRAEL   (10.08.08)
I am indeed more than glad to learn that HIZBULLAH of Lebanon is in the process of building an effective and efficient air-defense system atop mountains in Lebanon to intercept and shoot down IAF fighter and reconnaissance aircraft. Lebanon has the full right to defend itself against its enemies on top of which is the State of Israel. I hereby praise and salute HIZBULLAH of Lebanon for its impressive and professional battlefield performance against the IDF of Israel...
33. cfs's "strategy of peace"
Matt   (10.08.08)
I'm not sure what that is exactly. But unfortunately wishing a conflict to stop is rarely enough, and acting on it is dangerous if your enemies don't share that wish.
34. We have previously underestimated our POWER
Yonis ,   Somalia   (10.09.08)
Muslim people have previously undermined thier power to Wipe out the ZION who continiously oppress the palestinian peopl from Now on We have realized that We have our own power to do something to you agian...
35. #5, argh doesn't want his little bubble to be burst
Wide awake   (10.08.08)
doesn't want to face reality. No skin of his french back! not yet anyway... Well right now this is what has to be dealt with, no point in pipe dreams about peace with arabs. And please tell me mr. argh, what is a strategy of peace in your eyes? total surrender and destruction of the Jewish state? will that satisfy you? why don't you ask the arabs/muslims what is their strategy of peace? I'm sure we'd all like to hear about that (not), because so far all they've been trying to do is wipe us of the map. You and your euro friends should really wake up and face the music; I've heard it's getting quite loud over there in the hundreds of mosques you have in europe. Nothing has changed in the arab world, but euros don't get it or want to get it. They like you want to live in their wittle cuddly world and not let anyone rain on their parade of folly. We cannot afford such stupidity because for us over here it is an everyday battle, and most of the battle does not reach the newspapers.
36. I guess Israel...
Soeren ,   Cologne/Germany   (10.09.08)
... will not win this (in the meaning of the word) as Hisbollah won't disappear or stop its preparations to attack. Lebanon which would quite possibly want a peace with Israel is virtually unable as it has been fragmented and "castrated" by Syria and Iran. Good news is that you cannot lose either. Israel is somehow in a war of attrition for more than sixty years now – and it is stronger than ever. Results: Peace treaties with Egypt and Jordan, some not so cold relations with the Gulf states, quite irrelevant Palestinians who destroy themselves, a working deterrence towards Syria – and two major strategic problems: Hisbollah and Iran! So in the light of the last sixty years: It could be worse...

38. In search of winning....
DT ,   TA Isr   (10.09.08)
The ingredients to winning any war are : flexibility of tactics, ability to adjust quickly, staying power, (when provoked) action must be offensive and severe. The U.S fought a "defensive" war in Vietnam and lost. It is vascillating on going into Pakistan to destroy the root of the problem and if it continues then that will be a "defensive war" which both it's allies and itself will use.
39. The response to the "resistance"
The Doc ,   Haifa, Israel   (10.09.08)
- ruthless destruction - relentless destruction - decisive force - determination to destroy IDF needs all of the above to effectively use its superior force and technology to destroy the enemies. Anything less than total amputation of the Arab cancer, bree new cancer. Thereis no "chemo-therapy" - only total amputation. This will also create deterrence against future Arab genocidal dreams.
40. Muqauma Shmukauma
Alex ,   UK   (10.09.08)
Give us more of this crap. We are so afraid.
41. Arabs now do not fear Israel
Foley ,   Manchester, England   (10.10.08)
Analysts say that the biggest threat to Israel is the fact that since 9/11, Arabs have lost their fear of Israel. Muslims in Middle East now feel embolden. They are now convinced that Israel is not as strong as they had been led to believe. Hezbollah's triumph over Israel has cemented this view across the muslim world. Israeli hasty retreat on 24 May 2000, and then spectacular defeat of Olmert's army in Lebanon on 12 August 2006 has made Arabs look to Hezbollah as model of resistence against Israel. Hamas has already taken to Hezbollah style set up. It is being trained in Iran and Syria in Hezbollah's tactics. Israel is now facing very strong fighters both in south and in north. It is time Israel change strategy and establish relations with Lebanon, Syria and Iran before it is too late. Most military expert think that now it is not possible to win war with Hezbollah or Iran. They have grown too strong over the last 8 years. World has changed. West is refusing to get involved militarily in Israel's wars. It abandoned Israel. US refused to hit Hezbollah in 2006, despite the fact that it is on its terror list. New reality requires Israel to stop using threats and violence. It is not working anymore. These tactics are in fact counter-productive. Israel needs softer open and just approach. Its the only way left to survive.
42. to 39
dr ,   .........   (10.11.08)
what do you mean by total amputation .is it killing all cancer patients .. but new study say that ca is in the genes .so you means genocide of all the arabs and what is about iran .they are not arabs ......i think genocide of israil is easier ...need less time .........no iam against any genocide even to a little evil family evil will stay to the end of time .fight it by good ways
43. to 41
sora ,   jerusalem   (10.11.08)
you are right but not in one point .arabs did not believe of israil power but change the stratigy .like the stratigy of using the fear of israil .it is from 11 of september .it means believe seldom to change but strategy often to change

I would anticipate that you might care to posess this letter and perhaps share it with your family? I realize That this isnot a legitimate "talkback" response for Ynet news.com; but I am hopeful this communication will get to you. With love, care and forever..concern; Your Cousin Philip (Fievel).
