31. I would like to analyze this incident
Sagi ,   Israel   (10.11.08)
The Day of Attonement, a holy day, should be respected by all. I say this as an ardent secular Israeli who does not believe in terms such as 'holy'. An Arab citizen of our country chose to drive his car in Akko. To the best of my understanding there is no law against him doing so. He did not break the law. Jews of Akko congregated and ganged up on him, throwing stones, causing grievous bodily harm and destroying public property. To the best of my understanding there are laws against such behaviour. They broke the law. Having broken the law they should be arrested and charged and given due punishment. Who was wrong and who was right ? Before anyone attacks me with baseless remarks such as calling me antisemitic etc. I would never dream of driving a car on The Day of Attonement, not out of profound belief but rather out of respect for others. The Arab who drove his car had no respect, again this is not against the law and certainly does not warrant him being attacked and stoned. As he had no respect so did his attackers, in this case for human life, For this there is no excuse, especially on The Day of Attonement. Shame on those who acted thus, they bring shame on our People and our country. They broke the law, they were wrong, not the Arab who drove his car.

Thank God for that! I don't want to live in a country where mobs scream "death to the Jews!"
35. Stone throwing by these arabs NEEDS NO PROMPTING.
marlene ,   Philadelphia, USA   (10.11.08)
"Prompting" stone throwing??? RIDICULOUS! Do the daily stone throwing (causing severe injuries) by the arab muslim occupiers against the Jews need "prompting"? OF course not! Any excuse will do - even "just because we can".

Not sure how it started. A friend said he was playing loud music on Yom Kippur driving through. You can read this article: http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3607142,00.html and see comment 25 and 32 They said police said he crashed their barrier. Don't know who's telling the truth.

No, I'm simply saying that a little respect and common sense and respecting each other goes a long way in us living together. For example, when you have Arabs racing through a Jewish town on Yom Kippur and they run over a little 4 year old girl in the street with their ATV and kill her http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3605717,00.html , whether it was terror or just plain stupidity, they should have been respecting the Jews high holy day, as your race demands respect too. If Ramadan has requirements not to drive and it was their country, I would respect that. A little cooperation can go a long way. P.S. I'm not a 'chihauhaus' (spelled "Chihuahua'), and I'm not rabid either.

I know. Like I said, we need to respect one another, and each other's beliefs. Goes a long way.
