Yes, in a Jewish country, the police should always side with the Jews even when the latter throw stones at Arabs or try to set fire to their apartments. Why? I don't care whether they're Jews or Arabs, the real problem here is people don't have jobs and have plenty of time on their hands. Unemployment brings out the knuckleheads with the crowbars. Fix the economy or you're going to have to put them all in jail, regardless of their ethnicity or creed.

Maybe because I lived similar situations in South America I am afraid of what our police is turning into. Policemen in Israel were part of the people, today, more and more, what they do is to beat and attack fellow Jews following orders of politicians and the commissioner Dudi Cohen who believes that we should not eliminate terrorists since we are not barbarians but doesn't hesitate in ordering violence against Jews. The solution is not to turn the police into a hated entity, but to start looking things straight and stop lies of sad politics.
