important warning
2. LESSON LEARNED
DAVID ,   JUDEA   (10.12.08)
At least one more Israeli that has learned that one is jewish first and Israeli second , maybey it is time to send all our Herzelists to Romenia for a couple of years to get some reeducation and experience this first hand. To refresh people their memory it was during the Shoah that our fine civilized Romenians hung Jews from meathooks in their slaughterhouses. About all the Israeli money that got invested there , as usual that will all be stolen again , some people never learn nor remember.

What is an Israely jew doing in Romanian Parlament???
4. Anti-Semitism
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (10.12.08)
Anti-Semitism, the hate of Jews, is a phenomenon on which much has been said and written.Anti-Semitism doesn’t even need Jews in order to prosper (It existed in Japan although there were no Jews living in Japan). Anti-Semitism is one of the ugliest defect in human kind and it provokes the appearance of the most primitive and bestial instinct in human nature. Nowadays, it is carried, supported and promoted by Islam. If one wants to fight anti-Semitism one has to oppose the sermons and incitements preached in the Mosques against Jews. We have to fight anti-Semitism as explained at : http://xrl.us/kw6hh
5. No!, the crisis is to be blamed for anti-semitism
observer   (10.12.08)
the 85 billion $ supposed to fund Iran's strike has gone because of the crisis.
6. not credible
Yehoshafat ,   Beer Sheva   (10.12.08)
Yediot Acharonot, is in this case not a credible source, since Nati Meir has a criminal record in Romania as well as in Israel, he was and is still part of the right-wing and anti-Semitic party called Romania Mare (Great Romania) and noone can stand him, especially Jews and Israelis... He has a history of infraction, and criminal transgression in Israel, and has legal issues in Romania too - with money He has joined a great anti-Semite and extremist called Vadim Tudor, and his patry which receives 5 % from Romanian ballots, or better said, from Romanian idiots and Nati Meir, quoted in this articlehas become well known as an anti-Semitic self-hating Jew... meanwhile business and Israeli Romanian relations have flourished and improved exactly in the years he is describing, beautifully, and as a researcher of Romanian Jewish relations, I am happy about the improvements of the past few years... this is a sensational and non-realistic article loads of love Yehoshafat researching Romanian Jewry and Rom-Israeli relations

Dan ,   Buch., Romania   (10.12.08)
You better check all this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nati_Meir "The Guardian newspaper states that, in the beginning of the 90’s, Nati Meir served a 30 month jail sentence in Israel. He was accused of identity fraud, more specifically of impersonating a lawyer, as he presented himself as “Lawyer Nati Meir”. ...... The prosecutors say that the damages originate from erroneous recordings of Romanian workers’ contracts that were bound to leave for Israel. Nati Meir, is accused, by the prosecutors, of intellectual fraud, tax evasion by purloining tax payments and defrauding 129 people, whom he promised work contracts in Israel. ......... In 2005 he claimed that he inherited $2 billion from an American relative (about whom he refused to give any details), whereas $86 million were transferred into his accounts.[1]

maasanova ,   Slavetown, USA   (10.12.08)
Why are Jews crying about always crying bloody antisemitism? They have always have a homeland where they can escape "antisemitism" if they need to. See, Israel not only for Jews to flee to to escape prosecution.

You would not make that statement if you were an educated person. You are obviously of low humanity since your statement reflect your love of war. You belong to a type of humanity that is doomed. But to enlighten you let me tell you what is likely to happen to Hezbollah. They will be utterly destroyed by the Syrian army. Yes, the SYRIAN army. Because this global financial revolution now underway will bring about more federalism in this world. Countries in the Arab region will inevitably be drawn closer together politically. Money does not discriminate between people like ideology. Syria will be devastated if a war breaks out as part of this financial crisis. Israeli diplomats together with Turkish allies are encouraging Syria to cut its ties with terrorism as a legitimate form of ideology. This approach will succeed. Why? Because it is lethal in a non-violent way. That is LETHAL as in 'live and let live'. It's about freedom, libery and human rights you see. The sort of ideology we learn about in Judaism. But you don't know much about that as your love of war clearly suggests. Do you know why Lebanon is such a poor country today? Ask Fatah and Hezbollah and Hamas. Groups like them have sucessively ruined Lebanon, broken its families and have brought death and destruction on Beirut time and time again. Not one of them has achieved one hour of progress for anybody. Turn your back on war you stupid ignorant man and pray in the direction of peace and non-violence.

&, Mr High Brow #15, if you're "So educated"..., what does your answer about Hezbolla have to do with this subject about "Israli, Romanian MP", you THE "Smart one"? Of course #8's answer has neither to do with the subject @ hand. If you're so aloof, contribute something towards the contents, herein...

Dear Arthur, I see that you have already done the running to Houston Texas. You are safe and sound behind your computer screen in texas, so you dont have to panic and call the united nations every time one of our Hezbollah men plant a flag on the border fence.

20. Nope, it is not
Mr Nobody ,   Romania   (10.13.08)
The statement of Nati Meir it's a joke: he will lose his mandate in a few days anyway, since the elections are coming, which renders his "resignation" hilarious. There is no such thing as antisemitism in Romania. Show me just one case of injustice against a hebrew, clearly based on racism, and I will come to drink from the Dead Sea.

Bandar ,   Beirut, Lebanon   (10.13.08)
You dont have to drink from the dead Sea. The man is a crook and as expected from reading some of the comments on this site, he is treated as a savior of the Jews.

Mr Nobody ,   Romania   (10.13.08)
Sorry for my momentary lack of brainwaves, I mean "against a jew", not "against a hebrew". :) Such crapmonger as Meir does not deserve even a minute of attention since he creates only irrational hate against some nations who have nothing to fight each other. A thousand years of peace there
23. frustrated politician
eastbam ,   timisoara Romania   (04.29.09)
I can't believe this article made it in the news. A frustrated politician uses a sensible theme to get some popularity and fame. Shame on him and shame on the newspaper. It's easy to throw a stone :( Regards, eastbam
