How can Shas do this, if Shas is really a Torah-based party? How can Shas even think of joining a government coalition dedicated to giving Jewish land to the enemy? Shas joins in the enterprise of expelling Jews from their homes. Why? For monetary reward? Isn't this a form of bribery? Shas will shed innocent Jewish blood for a bribe? This is explicity forbidden by Torah. It is my understanding, Jewish law teaches it is good to both study Torah combined with an occupation. I believe this is taught in Ethics of the Fathers. Why does Shas then push for these socialized programs that discourage young people to engage in productive work? What kind of an example does this serve for our children?
