And the condolence to such tastelessness, though "naive" and innocent at start, provides a decent breeding ground for more severe phenomena. In this respect, I meant that Europe has not changed (except for Germany, which was very exceptional in learning its lessons). In America, for example, such incidents would not happen.

Instead of "condolence" I meant condoning.
