1. what stupid article
fad egypt   (10.27.08)
how can u write such false information who told u that elections are risk to likud if held in february the likud which has demanded election today before tommorrow while u claim that kadima doesnt fear election so why didnt livni call it after elected leader why she wasted time because she fears election this is the truth not bibi wake up stop the media war against this man shalom
2. elections
Yisraeli   (10.27.08)
Fadi there is some truth to what he says. Livni does not fear elections because shes riding on a popularity wave that shes a woman seen as uncorrupted. Nevermind her policies the public view her with rose colored glasses. Thats until she proves to all her naievete at being a PM. And thats what Bibi would prefer, the time to shoot her down in the polls from her current popularity wave. Enough with all these useless regurgitated career politicians who are only in it for themselves and their inflated egos. The electorate will have to do something radical. They can no longer tolerate the same imbeciles. And no I dont believe Bibi Natanyahu is much different from the current horde of a-holes. Bibi is all ego to without a backbone, he just talks with a silver tongue. So whos left? Only a Moshe Feiglin winning the upcoming Likud primaries offers the real change Israel needs. However if he doesnt win it perhaps Lieberman if his party can garner enough seats be given a chance, tho I cant see it. Other then that there is absolutely no one else. The electorate should then send a message by voting with blank slips of paper. Just imagine if out of 1.5 mill eligable vote 1 mill are blank. That means no one can form a government which demands major political reform and change to the current party system. Alas I dont see the public being united and smart enough to do this.
3. #1 is right about Media war against Bibi
Chaim   (10.27.08)
Notice Bibi's picture next to the caption about "lying" politicians. It's a subliminal message against Netanyahu.
4. Politician lying? What an insight. Could have fooled me. ;-)
Stewart ,   U.S.A.   (10.27.08)
5. Kadima has the best journalist coverage money can buy
Ilan ,   Ariel   (10.27.08)
If it wasn't such blow to democracy then it would be too amusing for words describing how all the 'cream' of Israeli journalism prostitutes itself to promote Kadima's party of opportunists.
6. Fearless Ms Livni -
Ariel ,   Not There   (10.27.08)
On Sunday, no longer fearing the Orthodox, Livni wore pants! LOL!
7. Livni failed for form a coaliton this time .
redmike ,   Tel Aviv   (10.27.08)
so if she became PM (which is fantasy) how would she form a coaliton next time? Labor would be weaker, the Likud stronger and Shas about the same. So she would have even less chance of success. Bottom line is that she's a novice. Olmert knew this and said that she would fail and and who knows the games better than him. Shas played with her like a cat with a mouse and she didn't even know that she was being played with. If she had given them the money then they would have talked about Jerusalem and take up the rest of negotiating time. They didn't want the money they wanted to waste her time and she performed like a dancing bear. Livni - A rank amateur, Mike
8. #2 what popularity wave? Do you anyone that wants Livni?
redmike ,   Tel Aviv   (10.27.08)
All of the talkbacks on all of the papers are saying the same thing. This poll was skewed and the left wing press support Livni and want to put down Bibi. Most people are now too well informed and too sophisticated to be conned by this nonsense. Likud will get around 30 mandates, Kadima will be lucky to get 15 and Labor will be lucky to get double digits. And Meretz might not even pass the threshold. Mike
9. Three years of failed government
Ken Besig ,   Israel   (10.27.08)
Israel has suffered through three years of one of the worst governments in out tortured history. The first government to lose a war, the first government to have it's PM under continuous police scrutiny, the first government to fail to accomplsh anything at all except to weaken Israel's negotiating position vis a vis the Palestinians. Only one government in our history has a worse and almost catastrophic record, the miserable and awful failure led by the present Labor Party leader, Ehud Barak. Even though Olmert and Livni tried as hard as they could, even they couldn't do a worse, more incompetent, and ridiculous job than Barak. Barak, as a failed and worthless leader, stands head and shoulders above anybody else in Israel, indeed, I doubt if any less effective leader could be found in the entire world!
