ID'ed, finger printed and a DNA swab taken and data based, period! You may claim that is a violation of a persons right to privacy and your rights as an individual infringed upon, but I say if it makes one person think twice before committing a crime because the police will have a leg up on catching them if they do something illegal and thus stays straight, my right to live my life free from fear of the criminal element is enhanced. And that is the greatest privacy and freedom there is

If you are an honest citizen, your rights are NOT violated, on the contrary, it prevents someone stealing you Identity. How many of those on forged I.D's are illegal immigrants?
3. Security Nightmare
David ,   Jerusalem   (10.29.08)
Fingerprint scanners can be defeated and internet services using them will be open to being hacked. Until they provide a better notion of how they intend to secure it - especially with government services being available via the internet - they are asking for trouble,

Please don't do this. Fear in 1930s Germany destroyed the most open democracy in Europe. It can do it again. If we behave like the bad guys, then we are the bad guys.
5. The Problem With This System Is
emanon ,   USA   (10.29.08)
not so much a technoligical issue as it will be to find enough people to verify the matching of data samples. A computer aided fingerprint matching system, for example, does not make an independent positive identification. It screens the unknown and rejects anything *cannot* be a match, i.e. wrong pattern type. Yes the candidate list is highly ordered, but even with two inked samples the match is not always at he top of the list. I've never dealt with other biometeric data, but I imagine the process is similar. Where is Israel going to get enough qualified people to interperet the results of the searches?

squirrelb8.com ,   St. Louis, MO USA   (10.31.08)
Fingerprinting is already a normal part of societal monitoring and has been for decades actually in the States. I've been fingerprinted ten times just to be able to adopt a child. I do not consider myself a "potential criminal" just because multiple federal, state and local governmental agencies have my prints.
9. If it is for our freedom, why is it a crime not to comply?
Scott ,   Haifa   (10.16.12)
I think it is all part of the world system to bring everyone under control, and they will not be able to buy or sell.
