2. I am not outraged
Sagi ,   Israel   (11.05.08)
at this Rabbi or any other person who expresses himself in this manner. I am outraged at the Government and People of Israel who permit him to do so with impunity.
3. We should all be outraged by IDF being used to remove Jews
Zion   (11.05.08)
4. Does not ynet have something more intersting to post ???
John   (11.05.08)
Noah do you want some tissues to wipe your childish tears ??? Israel is at the crossroads of a big question mark ??? If it does not wake up and listen to the generals in the army it might very well be in trouble ???
5. the rabbi
Eli ,   Brooklyn   (11.05.08)
this is a case of poorly chosen words. i am sure in the heat of the moment of being kicked out of your house many of us would do the same.
6. Rabbi Lior
David ,   Atlanta USA   (11.05.08)
When the IDF lends itself to attack Jews instead of defending Jews, then they act as the SS did in Germany, the result will be the same; the destruction of the Jewish people. Mr. Kliger did you not see the images from Gaza? These poor people, true heroes, were treated like criminals. I would say: With friends like you... We should all be outraged at the words in this article…
7. Memories
daat y ,   jerusalem   (11.05.08)
The outrage was against coming in the middle of the night and destroying all their belongings and scaring the children.-NOT AGAINST THE ARMY. This brought back horrific memories of his childhood.
8. oh Bugger! and Israeli taxpayers pay this man's salary?!
(11.05.08)
Let us then not forget that it was men like him who possaked the order forbidding Orthodox Jews from leaving in time and condemned them to burn in Hitler's oven's How dare this man compare the IDF to Nazis?
9. What exactly did he say???!!! Where is a quote?
Michael Berg ,   Toronto   (11.05.08)
10. Rabbi LIor said nothing wrong you liar
Daniel ,   LA   (11.06.08)
Rabbi LIor simply said that the brutal attack on Noam Federman's home and demolition by the IDF for no apparent reason which included beating children in the name of "peace" reminded him of the situation for Jews in World War II. After all, can you really support the evil that was done that night against Am Yisrael? You obviously did not include his quote because it would ruin your insane idea to hate the setlers out of anti-semitism. The enemy of the Jewish people includes many anti-religious self-hating Jews like you, sir.
11. cont. camps.
paul ,   newyork US.   (11.06.08)
was it not what livni suggested against jews from gaza if they fefused to be deported? watch your words mr. klieger!
12. Yeshaya Leibowitz
Chaim ,   Australia   (11.06.08)
Oh, yes, but that darling of left, Prof Yeshaya Leibowitz was allowed to compare Israeli soldiers to Nazis. Just depends on which side of the fence you are, right?
13. yeshaya leibowitz said it
Natan ,   CANANDA   (11.06.08)
Yeshaya Leibowitz That prophet of the Left in Israel called Tzahal Nazis explicitly many years ago; for some reason he was not thrown out of the county, I think on that day we lost our moral authority to criticize the Rabbi
14. #1 Joel - God help you more like it
Avi ,   Ramat Gan   (11.06.08)
Hope you get the help you so obviously need like the rest of them that cling on to every word and ranting from this lunatic who seem to have lost the basic human characteristic to think for them selves and determin right from wrong. So yes ill say a little prayer for you dear.
15. Ultimate Victory
Ephraim ,   Kfar Tapuah   (11.06.08)
Ultimate Victory is the victory of G-d's law and Jewish values over the secular system and anti-Torah laws in place today.
16. No one should
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (11.06.08)
compare any Israeli , nor any Israeli action to those murderers . This without any exeption , in any situation . There can't be any excuse for doing it , be it a Rabbi , or any other person . To compare a Jew to a kapo , drawn him wearing a nazi uniform should also be condemned . Those doing it are only insulting our six million brethren who were murdered .
17. Rav Lior
Shalom   (11.06.08)
Rav Lior is a true Zionist. All his sons and grandsons serve in the IDF. He was totally taken out of context - as per usual.
18. NOAH KLIEGER'S ARTICLE
Ariel Solomon ,   New York NY   (11.06.08)
Mr. Klieger is totally right. It is an outrage that this rabbi speaks like this. We must protest against anyone who tries to take the law into his own hands!
19. Remove Rabbi Dov Lior from the public scene
H.H.M. ,   israel   (11.06.08)
Remove Rabbi Dov Lior from the public scene Rabbi Dov Lior should be hospitalize by order by the district cicatrix of a suspect being dangerous to himself and others on account of self hate . But in case a committee of cicatrix find him to be fully accountable he should be detain by internal security orders until the juridical authorities decided under which law he is to be indicted. He definitely is a danger to law and order and to the State of Israel, which justify / command this approached of self preservence
20. And what about Tommy Lapid?
Ilan ,   Ariel   (11.06.08)
Lapid while Justice Minister did the same (in reference to a Arab house destruction) and after that went on to serve as Head of Yad VaShem. Where is the justification for outrage in this case then?
21. The problem is
Ronny   (11.06.08)
You are right, some lines must not be crossed. But the problem is that there are people who do so. But what can be done about it?
22. israeli law
larry ,   chicago   (11.07.08)
the fact that something is made legal or illegal by the government does not inherently make it proper. Many laws have been made by lawmakers and later reversed by other lawmakers, courts, or other governments. In the USA it was illegal for a negro to sit in the front of a bus, to eat in designated restaraunts, etc. People stood up to the immoral law and it was repealed. In Germany, the Jew had equal rights, came Hilter and felt it was immoral and Jews were stripped of their rights, all done legally of course. The fact that there is an Israeli law forbidding something does not make it holy. Many laws are made by one group and nulified by another. So it will be with this utilization of the police to beat people into submission for the benifit of the state's perverted morally corrupt laws. amen
23. Larry , Chicago
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (11.07.08)
Even if laws are changed , the CURRENT one has to be obeyed .
24. Ephraim , 15
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (11.07.08)
the nazi soldier had "gott mit uns" engraved on their belts . God with us . So you have seen where god's victory was
25. Enough!
Ron Morris   (11.07.08)
These charedim get me sick. They don't do the army but they are the firstto criticize the army. Don't they know that a soldier is not permitted to think for himself. They take an oath to follow orders. The Nazis were evil. The soldiers in the IDF are certainly not. They follow orders given from a democratically elected government as dictated by a proper and just legal system. If this rabbi can't see the difference then he is worse then the arabs.
26. #22
Ben ,   Monroe USA   (11.07.08)
Larry, you are a sick puppy. Try looking at the crap put out by the Ultras where women must sit on a bus. This is why theocratic rule is as fascistic as Nazi germany was. This what Israel is sliding into by permitting the minority to rule the majority.
27. Sick warped old man
Talula ,   Israel   (11.07.08)
Send him out to graze already.
