2. Our Friends Saudis
David   (11.13.08)
...first time that a Saudi king stayed in the room to hear a speech delivered by an Israeli representative. F***** big deal! Had he shaken Peres' hand what would he give him for such a great honor.
3. Peres and Livni play good cop bad cop
Rami ,   London   (11.13.08)
keep their options open, inwardly they believe the goyim are beginning to like and accept them, and they just need to massage the situation applying their situational ethics (and Livni's IQ which the New York Times rates at 150). Once Livni and Peres have cleverly promoted peace, then we will have peace with honour, peace in our time, and it will be the best of all possible worlds.
4. just look at that picture
chaim ,   brooklyn ny   (11.13.08)
citizens of israel,is this the creature you want to be your prime minister?
5. Peace talks will NEVER be in "advanced stages," just lies.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (11.13.08)
6. A Trojan (Or Saudi) Horse In US
Dav Lev ,   Burbank. CAUSA   (11.13.08)
Let's be honest, Livni, Peres, the blind leading the blind. EVERYTHING, the Arab world does, has one goal, the destruction of the miniscule Jewish state, divided ultimately between the major bordering powers. With Iraq imploding, Iran about to test the bomb, Pakistan dysfunctional and admonishing the US for drone raids, Syria refusing to budge on it's inspections, Hamas talking both sides, Hez arming to the gills, AND Obama ready to "talk", who is kidding whom? After 60yrs, the Saudis listen to a speech yet won't acknowledge a Jews presence, shades of Cyrstal Night, Sobibor and the Warsaw Ghetto. "Work Makes Free" is what this is all about., fooling we Jews again and again and again. And Israel's leadership falls for it..out of desperation wanting to be loved, accepted. Aint' never going to happen folks. The Allon Plan with modifications is the answer..trust the Arabs, and you commit suicide. NO to a second Holocaust
7. What PEACE! the rockets keep flying
Stuart ,   Ny USA   (11.13.08)
8. Tolerance???
Dan ,   Nanuet, NY   (11.13.08)
Sending hijackers to crash airplanes into buildings, this is tolerance? Strapping bombs onto 7 years old kids, this is tolerance? Putting the words tolerance and Islam in the same sentence is a joke! Why is this so damn hard for people to understand? When it comes to peace, Arabs are all words and no action. It's the same old classic technique employed when they want their 5 minutes of sympathy from the world right before they go ahead and bomb something else. The world has got to stop getting suckered by these phony idiots.
9. where is livni now?
pinchas   (11.13.08)
Did u know that zipi livni left isarel on wed Am on an elal flight to Ny? Why has nothing been said about this in themedia? Is she on a secret mission to see bush or abama to egt green lite to attack iran, hizballah or what have u? i was on the flight with her and they kept it very low key.
10. ...it's much easier for these people make excuses
TJ ,   NJ   (11.13.08)
instead of actually doing a little bit of work, nobody is going to give you anything if you don't want it yourselves. but the israeli politicians way is to talk wreckless with empty words when someone is actually trying to do something productive, or trying something new. nobody is trying to take anything away from anybody here. I trust the Saudi's more than any of the others, because they have nothing to prove. They don't need to help us, they have all the oil they need, remember? Taking a little step in another direction might actually be the start for israel to get their chuzpah back. So go 'foward' with this, you have nothing to lose. towards something new, because what's old obviously isn't working.. that's what 'kadima' means anyways, isn't it?
11. How possible extreme will fight against extremes?
e.m.Jordan is Palest ,   s.f   (11.13.08)
Saudi regime will never accept the Jewish state in Islamic land and the only reason they are in that conference because of their fears from Iran, How will be possible for Saudi leaders to go against the will of their people ?How will be possible to go against the words of Koran? My advice to our leaders do not waste the time peace with Islamic fanatic’s impossible because the only thing they believe is destruction of Jewish State, Move the entire Arabs to Jordan and let themes have their State.
12. HAs Livni ever asked for the PA Charter to be changed?
JAyjay3 ,   Israel   (11.13.08)
NO This evil selfish woman knows very well that these bogus Palastinians are no more Palstinian than us Israeli. Arabs never called themselves Palastinian before 67! They only call themselves Palastinain to get hand outs and as an excuse to try and destroy Israel! Why does she keep playing the bogus Palastinian charade? Because, like Olmert and the left, it helps advance her political career. The whole left are a pack of traiters that couldnt care about the state!
13. Livni is inadequate as well.....look at the pic!
Shmeckle ,   Israel   (11.13.08)
14. The Kingdom of Saudia.
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (11.13.08)
Without its oil, the Kingdom of Saudia would have been one of the poorest countries of the world. The enormous flood of money from the export of oil makes Saudia a rich country. Instead of investing its wealth in the infrastructure of the country and developing basic agricultur and industry, the money is spent on promoting the Wahhabi doctrine of terrorism and hate to the entire non Muslim world as described at : http://xrl.us/okxdg
15. Saudia and Palestinians
Bhaskar ,   Edmonton, Canada   (11.13.08)
Saudia king is so much bothered about Palestinians. That kingdom is so big. Why not give some small piece of land for Palestinians to move from Israel and settle there. No, this is impossible, Ya Saudia King? So, what you want is just to spread Islam, or kill non muslims. So, entire world is at mercy of Makkah, Madina. True?
16. Israel is leading by example.
James Hovland ,   USA   (11.13.08)
Israel has been confronting their own extremists. The recent crack down on settler violence has been a major step forward in building confidence and cooperation. The simple fact that Arab leaders sat through an Israeli President's speech shows great progress, furthermore, the applause he receive was nothing short of inspiring. Let your light shine, it's what the world has been waiting for.
