2. "Fair chance for Peace" if - and only if
common sense ,   tel aviv   (11.18.08)
If Israel returns all territorial assets. Peace - provided They get all they demand from us . "fair" - isn't it ?
3. The Oslo peace process didn’t have any chance to bring peace
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (11.18.08)
Can three or four million Palestinian Arabs really form a viable state in the roughly 2,200 square miles of the West Bank and Gaza? Will this land be sufficient to support them, with the addition of several million refugees and taking into account the prodigious Palestinian Arab birthrate? Are we all sure that Palestinian Arabs can generate a modern post-industrial economy like that of Israel? And what happens if the land is not sufficient? What happens between a Palestinian Arab state of say, 15 million persons, with a per capita GDP of say, $3,000, and an Israeli Jewish state of say 10 million persons, with a per capita income of $40,000? Can there be peace between two such states? For the real solution to the Israeli-Arab problem we should look elsewhere : http://xrl.us/bi5c8
4. The achievement of the PLO and terrorism.
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (11.18.08)
A survey carried out the Panels Research Institute finds that more than 75% of Israelis see partial or total transfer of Israeli-Arabs out of Israel in any final-status agreement that includes a Palestinian state. The poll asked whether it would be justified, in the framework of an agreement for the establishment of a Palestinian state, to demand the transfer out of Israel of all Arabs. Nearly 30% said yes with no reservations, while 28% said only Arabs who did not express loyalty to Israel should be expelled. In addition, another 19% said that Arabs who lived in areas bordering the PA-controlled areas, such as Wadi Area and the southern Galilee, should be transferred out.The remainder, just under 25%, said no Arabs should be transferred out.The survey encompassed 668 respondents, taking part in a series of Panel4All internet surveys. The Panels Institute says the respondents are a representative sampling of the adult population in Israel, and that the margin of error is 3.7%. The solution ? Details at : http://xrl.us/bjcgx
5. The man who sold out his country & people ...
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (11.18.08)
So he could be among the ''rich & famous'' acclaimed by all our false friends & outright enemies, so now he has his nose up Obama's backside as well. He's just brown-nosing for an invitation to the White House so he can look important as he tries to sell us out again. While he pretends to be a statesman, his main talent is kissing butts. He's only president because of crooked Olmert & his sleezy backroom deals. He couldn't get elected as a garbage man in his own country.
6. Peace Deal Accomplished Years Ago. Already Arab Pal State
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (11.18.08)
Why does pro-Islam Peres ignore this fact? 22 HUGE Arab countries cover over six million square miles, over ten percent of the land surface of earth! 56 Muslim countries! Surrounded by hostile Jew-hating nations, one tiny, global jihad embattled Jewish state - over-crowded little Israel, not enough space even for Jews, only one tenth of one percent of the Middle East! There NEVER was an Arab country of Palestine. Jerusalem was NEVER the capital of any Arab or Muslim entity. Jerusalem is mentioned over 700 times in the Jewish Bible, not once in the Koran. Muslims already have an Arab Palestinian State! In 1922, Britain illegally gave 80% of Jewish Palestine to Muslims. The area became Jordan, giving Muslims an ARAB Palestinian State on JEWISH land.
7. Why does Hamass does not serve Palstinian cause???
Jay ,   Israel   (11.18.08)
What is the bogus Palastinians cause? The destruction of Israel? Both the Hamass and Fatah's PA Charter call for Israels destruction, and to this day they are unchanged! In fact Olmert, Peres, Livni have never even asked it to be changed! Why do they intentionally ignore this vital fact?
8. peres peace
alexi   (11.18.08)
Livni and kadima will be lucky to get 18 seats in the elections.olmert will find himself in the courts for the next y2 years and then sent to jail for a short time. The legal system is protecting olmert and will get him some work after he is disbarred.Liku will will 35-43 seats and yaalon will be minister of defense. No more withdrawals- hamas will be targeted, an anti-missile system advanced compared to barak's go slow approach. More shelters and gas mask distributed and idf will get ready. PLO will be read the riot act. Diplomacy will go to getting a piece of sinai for the gazans and jordan to transfer out all of the arabs. Peres was never voted PM for a reasoni. He is the godfather of the crooked coward olmert.
9. All STOLEN Jewish Land & Property must be Returned!
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (11.18.08)
The inalienable rights of Jews to the Biblical heartland must not be violated! No one is demanding Muslims surrender THEIR top religious areas of Mecca and Medina! In 1948, Egypt invaded Gaza, ethnically cleansing all Jews and in 1948, Jordan invaded Judea, Samaria and east Jerusalem, ethnically cleansing all Jews. In violent opposition to G-D, Muslim Jordan destroyed 58 synagogues in Jerusalem. The jihad is against the Holy One. When Israel won the Arab war of aggression in 1967, Jews returned to the areas of their ancestral homeland they had been ethnically cleansed from for 19 years. Anti-Israel propaganda DECEITFULLY calls Jews' legitimate return "occupation". Jews have had a continuous presence in physical and spiritual homeland Israel for 4000 years. Jewish ownership of the land, homes and buildings stolen from the Jews in the 1948 Islamic invasion must be restored!
