I always vote on left, but circuncision is a matter of being jewish. If a man is jewish, this man must be circuncised. I don't care if tradition is not fashion, but part of our way of life.

I don't think you can fool these people so easily. They will claime the right to medical examination of the children from time to time and if a child is found circumcised they will prosecute the parents wherever the circumcision has taken place.

Christians may not circumcise for religious reasons, but they most certainly do. Not that I've been around the block all that often, but my husband had been circumcised and so were the other men I've ever seen naked. Most of them were not Jewish. I'm not a doctor, but there seem to be some very valid health reasons for circumcision. As for choice of religion, you are correct. I've been sprinkled, dunked, prayed at and over, cussed and thrown out and none of it did any good. I don't subscribe to any religion.

It's the effect of it that makes it very hard on Jews who actually want to practice the ways. In making a law that was designed to discourage Muslims, Jews got caught into and suffer the consequences of it. So now, Danish Jewry would either have to do circumcisions outside Denmark, or leave the the country entirely. There are already many countries in Europe that ban Kosher meat, and I don't think it will be long before they ban male circumcision as well. If Danes choose to do the procedure outside the country, they have 2 nearby choices. Either in Sweden or Germany. The Sweden option: What tends to happen in Scandinavia, is that a law passed on one country, will usually be adopted in the others. So it may not be long before the procedure is also banned in Sweden. Germany: What an irony this would be-Jews going there so that they could practice a Mitzvah? Many would be loathe to do that, and would rather exercise the Israel option. It is time to end galut in Denmark and head back home. They are not living in the same Denmark that so stood for the Jews during the Shoah. It is a different country now.

On Christianity and Denmark-I think that they once were very Christian, but now it seems like they have gone away from such. Maybe it was combination of church and state and not having a sense of personal ownership. Anyways it perhaps affects everyone with religious beliefs.

If this law passes so should ear piercing before age 15 be made illegal. This is nothing like female circumcision which is indeed mutilation. Dens should study 200 cases of circumcised and non circumcised males. Then count the number of cases of HPV Human papilloma virus among each group before taking a decision. The whole bibble is based on centuries of observation full stop.

If this law passes and you dont like it! Abide by their laws and enjoy one of the highest standards of living in the world, or leave for a tiny piece of skin. Of course I'm a gulf Arab so I don't know how hard life can be in poor Arab countries and Israel, but if circumcision is that important to you, go home.
