Maybe that will teach them a much-deserved lesson. We can't restrain them, maybe the Palestinians can. These people are not Israelis, I wouldn't even consider them Jews, they don't represent me or any other sane Israeli, and I do not consider myself particulary left-wing. We are sick of them and as you can see from my reaction, many of us couldn't possibly care less anymore about their safety (I am not talking about most American talkbackers here, they don't represent the way the average Israeli thinks at all). For these settlers, the state is only to be supported when it cooperates with their insane ideology. The moment the state tries to stand up against them, it becomes the enemy. Let us all become their enemy indeed. Let them stay with the Arabs in a future Palestine: we don't need them here as much as we don't need millions of Arabs in the country. I have served in this area myself and I know exactly who we are dealing with. I have witnessed plenty of cases of inexcusable outrageous behavior while we, the soldiers, are helpless to do anything since nobody in any level of the military establishment really wants us to even touch them. And trust me, there are enough soldiers who'd be willing to confront these settlers or even shoot at them if necessary. Not all soldiers are blinded by unfounded hatred for Arabs. Most Israelis have no clue about the reality in Hebron and surroundings. These people are extremist fanatics, who don't care about the state of IL, only about the land of Israel. They represent the worst of the worst Israel has to offer. So I say: they can have the land, and let the state retreat from there. Everybody happy.

There might be hope yet, the kids are repaying the muslims while the 'politicians' figure out how to cede more of Israels Promised land. Perhaps the politicians need a reminder, from these same protesters?
