1. Not that you'd ever do anything about it
George W ,   Washington DC   (11.21.08)
So they're breaking the law? Go in and bust some chops then, throw people in jail, evacuate the illegal settlements, and all the rest. Any country that was at all interested in upholding the rule of law would do that. But that never happens in Israel, the government has aided and abbeted this nonsense, and encouraged these frankenstein monsters to run wild, for decades. So what we'll get is this sort of fainting couch nonsense about how there's nothing anyone could possibly do. And in the meantime you will ignore all the common sense stuff that you could easily do if you really wanted to. You haven't enforced the law for 40 years, why start now?
2. The real problem is the court is rejecting the law
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (11.21.08)
When you have a political court instead of one based upon national laws, you end up with a people that deny that court. This court has issued an illegal ruling. Yet you condemn the victims of this witch hunt. The court has brought this upon themselves. When a certain portion of the population is denied justice and equality under the law that is discrimination. Livni and her government has issued repeated incitement against a majority of the population and is back by an extreme leftist court system that systematically denies the most basic rights to those to the right. Guess you are looking for a new court system, because this one is too corrupt to be allowed to continue. Now indict me for that!
3. Kassems and Grads not as intolerable for left
Marcel ,   Florida   (11.21.08)
What a pathetic leadership of cowards who turn on their own and run away from any serious move against the real intolerable threat from Gaza.
4. The entire public rejects leftist court and Kadima!
Yoni ,   Chiloquin   (11.21.08)
The people of Hebron do not reject norms, they reject laws made by the court. It is not the job of the court to make new laws! The government and courts in Israel are against the common Jew. Kadima is pro arab and so is the high court, they are defeatists. The people of Hebron and all those who help are standing up for their lawful rights, not the law of a courupt government and court!
5. law
colin   (11.22.08)
WHAT LAW????If the entire public are not respecting government decisions.ARE THOSE DECISIONS LEGAL or political b-s of the corrupt government. Livni Barak attacks against jews have come to an end.No more evictions of jews from thier legal abodes by criminal politicians. The courts will be changed after the elections. The IDF will again be for the people and not for the egomaniacs politicians. The civil war has begun. The people will build and live safely in all ISRAEL
6. Entire government defying the public
jason white ,   afula,israel   (11.22.08)
by not stopping rocket and mortar attacks from gaza. Not allowing Jews to settle the land of Israel. By giving away half of Jerusalem,Judea, Shomron and the Golan. By not freeing Gilad. By arming terrorists. giving money and legitimacy to terrorists. The government follows the orders of the eurabian union, u.n. and the U.S. state dept. Also they run like little lapdogs to mubarak and abdullah. Not to mention electing the loser for president!
7. Kadima's war on the Jews has become the norm.
Steve ,   US   (11.22.08)
8. #1 George Washington
Marcel ,   Florida   (11.22.08)
How about crawling back into your coffin and end your miserable trampling of the sovereignty of other nations you big bully.
9. If PM Olmert defies the courts, what the hell do you expect
the rest of the ,   country to do??????   (11.22.08)
10. #2 you are booth crazy & funy.Later
Simon Mohammed ,   Falls Church VA USA   (11.22.08)
11. chit-chat
Michael ,   Haifa   (11.22.08)
Instead of evicting these law-breaking hooligans, she and her impotent Minister of Defence just talk and talk and talk endlessly about how awful the situation is.
12. The High Court is losing moral authority.
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (11.22.08)
So many decisions by the High Court in recent times have eroded it's moral authority - it's policy of judicial activism, it's usurpation of authority in security matters, it's blatantly ideological decision-making (as in this case), basically, it's adherence to far-left positions perceived as against the interests of the country, are destroying faith in yet another Israeli public institution. And unscrupulous politicians, like Livni, encourage this process. The Left in Israel cares little for consequences, they care not a bit about the damage they cause. They care about their own short-term political advantage & advancing their own unpopular agenda. If the general public loses faith in our judicial system, as we seemingly are losing faith in gov't., if people increasingly believe the courts are unjust & unfair, partial rather than impartial, this will have serious consequences. The High Court must be reformed. It is no longer tolerable for the court to be a self-perpetuating, self-selecting clique of ideologues with it's own agenda.
13. The High Court of Justice should remain off politics.
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (11.22.08)
Cowardly people who are prepared to give away the heart of Israel to our sworn enemies feel threatened by fellow countrymen who represent bravery and a will to survive. For post-Zionists like Peres, the woman who happily raises her kids in Judea and Samaria is a constant reminder of his own gutlessness, leading him to develop a burning hate for the pioneering and strong 'Jew'. Nowaday, the religious settler is the emancipated Israeli, bedecked with side locks and tzitzit, and armed with the classic fundamentals of Zionist ideology : to ingather, to build, and to settle the land of Israel. 16. WHy listen to Arab Leftist Courts. Settlers are right!
JAy ,   ISrael   (11.22.08)
17. There go the Judge(s), There go the Judge(s)
Gideon Reader   (11.22.08)
Fool that the "Mossad Beauty" is, she, if quoted correctly, has placed a long, scarlet tipped , fetchingly manicured finger on the issue. If an entire segment of the public has sought to defy a court ruling, it signals a symptom of an out of step court; which has the responsibility towards the residents of the land, not towards a government de juer, or it's political comforts. Particularly in the abandonment of selection of the long term function of status que ante. Ordering the removal of residents from "Hebron House" was unjudicial, provocative and blatantly stupid. The court in this incident at hand has been incitful and callous. If there is resulting violence, it may be traced to the intemporate courts orders. Maybe it is time for a review of those who sit on the nations courts in order to see if they have the temperment and facilities for continued service.
18. Livni & Olmert are enemies of Israeli society
Daniel ,   Amsterdam   (11.22.08)
This is not an incitement to violence but they are able to understand what their people need. We are coming back on the 67' borders and we are not going to divide Jerusalem again.Regarding Hebron should be considered neutral like Jerusalem. We both have the right to give respect to our ancestor Mothers/Fathers
19. # 14 Yaron, I hope she losses
Petra ,   usa   (11.22.08)
she's an appeaser who would gladly give up all of Israel and wonder why Jews have no home. Bibi may do better, let's hope so! If Obama listens to the pollack in his ear, we will have war.
20. She can join Bush and Rice for a losers banquet.
Petra ,   usa   (11.22.08)
Keep the settlers, lose her!
21. Entire public is right the courts sux
Petra ,   usa   (11.22.08)
and this poor dummie will most likely be gone after the elections. She's lost her mind! If the 'entire public' disagrees w/ the court, the courts wrong!
22. The Jews can learn from Andrew Jackson
Steve ,   US   (11.22.08)
In 1831, the U.S. Supreme Court found the acts of the State of Georgia against the Cherokee nation unconstitutional and in violation of legally binding treaties. In this case, the court was right. President Andrew Jackson however, simply refused to support the decision. Jackson reportedly said, "John Marshall made his decision, now let him enforce it." Jackson forced the eviction of the Cherokees from their native Georgia, marching them west to "Indian territory," present day Oklahoma. The Jews are the natives in Israel. Israel's high court is an evil one. How much more should this immoral (Israeli) Supreme Court decsion be ignored.
23. Livni, stop talking. It's responsibility of executive to act
Law and Order   (11.22.08)
Courts judge and Governments execute - that's how it works in a democratic system.
24. #23 "Law and Order": Please read #22
Steve   (11.22.08)
25. If you want the law executed - remove Arabs squating
rebecca ,   modiin   (11.22.08)
There is a Jewish home being occupied by Arabs and the court has often ruled that the Arabs must be removed - but no-one does anything. But this blatantly wrong ruling should be followed?? why??
