I think the Pals are the worst failure for the UN in that never have so few people gotten so much out of the UN while deserving (relatively speaking to the dead ghosts mentioned above) so little. The Palestinians are the biggest moneymaking scam ever to hit the world scene. They've gotten billions more than UN cronies ever skimmed off of Iraq. The Pals are just about the only Arabs without any oil... no problem, they have the UN and EU instead.

First, nearly a million Jews fled as refuges and were taken in by other Jews in Israel. The Arabs who fled should have been absorbed and helped by other Arabs but they were not. The region was in a period of change, Israel came to being as did some Arab states. The Arabs violently rejected UN 181 whichwould have goiven them a state in peace in 1948. They claimed that the UN had no authority. Then after they lost the war that they chose instead of a state in peace, they tried to hide behind the same "authority-less" UN. They're like the guy who murders his parents and then cries for mercy (or demands mercy) from the court because he's an orphan. And the sickest part is that the same UN funds the UNRWA, which perpetuates the conflict. Israel, with no land or resources, took in its victims of Arab aggression. The Arabs, withLOTS of land and trillions in petro-dollars, will just have to take in their own victims of their aggression. Elsewhere.

First, it's very unclear that the large majority of Palestinians even accept that there shall be a Jewish-majority Israel. Second, it is evident that the Palestinians want their demands imposed on Israel. So, all this hand-wrenching by the United Nations or Western countries about there not being a Palestinian state is misplaced. There is no Palestinian state because of the Palestinians themselves.

since when do we have 800,000 refugees. oh, i see...the descendants, ha???? bogus! mr. moon... what about the 1,000,000 jewish refugees that were kicked out of all arab countries by those governments and whose riches, lives, money, businesses, shops, homes, etc... were stolen and confiscated by the arabs??? what about the seige that these millipon jews lived in in all arab countries, the abuse, the terror, the inability to have court protection, the inability to vote, to have legal protection, to own land, to own their own businesses without government imterference? what about all the pogroms, riots, etc... that ended with slaughter of thousands of these jews, no religious freedom, no freedom of movement or freedom to live amongst muslims or in non jewish neighborhoods except for the jewish mellahs and ghettos they were forced to live in in extreme poverty, no education and no facilities that were modern? what about not being allowed to represent themselves in a court of law, what about them being forced to wear special clothing to identify them as jews? what about the torture, hangings, killing and forced conversions to islam on these jews? what about the jews having to kiss muslim feet when they see them on the streets, or not permotted to look at muslims or walk on the same sidewalk as muslims, or ride a horse or donkey as muslims did? what about the jizzyah, a tax jews had to pay for their protection under islamic law? what about their recognition as refugees that MUST HAVE COMPENSATION FROM ALL ARAB CPUNTRIES AND THE ABILITY TO GO BACK AND CLAIM WHAT THEUR WERE FORCED TO LEAVE BEHIND AND WHAT THE ARABS STOLE FROM THEM. the arabs refused the original partition, your so called two states for two people. If anything Gaza should go back to Egyptian control and let Egypt deal with Gaza and Hamas while parts of the west back to Jordanian control and tell Egypt and Jordan to creat a PA state because we don't want any part of it.
